Not great
If you are hunting or fishing it is great. No heat, no internet, no TV. Not rustic - shoddy. Went to see lighthouse and people there told us we were trespassing - they had rented the place and we couldn't even take pictures. Deck on cottage #8 has plywood covering parts - still unsafe. Cement blocks in water.

We loved the location on the Bay! Beds were comfortable. Enjoyed the views! We had a rain storm the first night and it was very cold in the cottage. There is a wood stove and lots of blankets but would have appreciated if the cottage came with an electric heater. Also a TV with a DVD player would be good to have on a stormy night. Cottage was clean and spacious.

Cute little cottage on the water with charm. Owner very kind and helpful. Walking trails are great, scenery is beautiful and cottage is comfortable with fresh towels and shower and kitchen / BBQ utensils also. A charcoal BBQ for your usage as well as fridge and stove. Even firewood for outdoor fire or woodstove. There is a dock with kayaks and life jackets and a sandy beach. Love this place.

We loved this vintage lakefront cottage! It was on a quiet bay and it had everything we needed. Northern Ontario is surrounded by so much beauty!

If your a outdoorsy person. You will love these little cabins. When stepping thru the door your transported back to a simipler time and a slower world. Was truly peaceful. We will be returning.

Pat is a wonderful host . The cabins have a rustic charm. The beach area is beautiful and the two islands Mackay and French island are gems. Lovely area.

Very nice cottage feel of life many years ago. Near a big awesome lake and trees and wildlife. I would try it again next summer. The landlord lady was very nice.

Magical rustic cottage on a gorgeous beach! Not fancy but very charming and clean. The wood stove heating the cottage nicely. Pat was so friendly and helpful.

Very quaint cottage with beach front. All amenities provided. Wish that there was less cobwebs with insects within the cottage. And a longer pair of tongs to cook on the charcoal BBQ.

Loved the rustic style of the cottage. Beautiful little beach area too. So peaceful. Got a little cold at night and it’s def rustic but I loved it. The staff was very friendly. I’d def go back again.

What an amazing and unique spot. Extremely hospitable hosts with everything you need for a good time at the cottage is right at your finger tips. Enjoyed sitting in the beach having a fire under the stars after exploring the numerous trails and beaches on the property. Highly recommended, would stay here again in a heart beat.

It is a cabin that is right on the North Channel of Lake Huron. It is a quiet place with a lot of charm. Will go back again.

Quaint Lakeside Cabin
Pat and Larry welcomed us warmly to their charming little island (accessible by bridge). The cottages are simple and rustic, with everything you could want for a quiet getaway in nature. Extremely comfortable beds and pillows. Everything was spotless. The shower was amazing! The kitchen was fully equipped. We wish we had planned to stay longer. Every cottage has a fire pit and access to the water. We walked around the trails on the island and discovered many magical spots along the shore. There are bikes and kayaks for the guests to use freely. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the water. We recommend this place to anyone looking for a romantic getaway in nature and anyone with a family who would like to let the children explore safely.

Cozy cottage located on the beach. Barbecue, canoes and kayaks are available. Cottage has a stove and fridge and a wood burning space heater. The cottage is very rustic but is clean and the bed is comfortable. If you want to get away and have a relaxing stay on your journey this is it just don`t expect the holiday inn.

When they say just bring your clothes and food they really mean it - firewood, lifejackets, water toys, beach towels, briquette's for the BBQ and more - wonderful hosts and comfortable beds. The only issue was loose fitting screen doors which was OK in the fall but would allow mosquitoes in during bug season. Wonderful otherwise and would recommend.

Beautiful location and beach. Fun for children of all ages. The cabin was rustic and needed a good cleaning. Old wrappers under the sofa bed, cob webs and lots of spiders. Just needs some tlc and clean sheets etc! Lots of towels but the shower looks sketchy so none of us used it! The roof leaked when it rained, so we put some pots and towels for the drips! The location was great though.

My second time staying here and I LOVE it!! The cabins are beautiful and clean and full with everything you need, just bring food literally you need nothing else not even a pillow or towel they have it all. The property is on two islands and you can walk about 10 different trails, there's a private beach and many look out areas with benches for you to sit and picture perfect scenery!! You might even see some pretty amazing wild life. If you want to stay in the Lighthouse you can rent it as it's fully functioning and so beautiful. The hosts Pat and Larry are the nicest people you can meet they will help you with anything you need, very accomadating! If you want a place for the family and the family dog you've found it. If you want a quiet week away by yourself you've found it this resort is for Everybody!!

Pat, the owner was so friendly! Lovely touches throughout the property that shows how much she cares and takes care of things! Very accommodating too as I had to arrive quite late, love the auto lights that came on. I would definitely go back again to relax and recharge! Lighthouse setting especially beautiful!
