Cable Beach is the area’s most iconic. The 22-kilometre (14-mile) long beach offers beautiful scenery, bright white sand and calm waters great for swimming. The weather is hot year-round. During wet season, rain is heavy and the warm waters are filled with jellyfish. The best time to visit is in the “dry” season between May and September.
Broome has an international airport with regular flights going in and out. Once here, the best way to get around is by hire car or bicycle. The roads are wide and flat and there are no traffic lights, which only adds to the relaxed feel of this laid-back coastal town.
