"During my recent stay at Harvey's Hotel in Lake Tahoe, I experienced a mix of positives and areas in need of improvement. Starting on a high note, the check-in process was notably smooth—a quick and easy start to our visit. The staff were friendly and helpful, clearly striving to provide a good experience for guests. However, the hotel itself seems to be stuck in a bygone era, not due to its vintage charm, but because of its apparent lack of upkeep. The condition of the premises was a letdown, particularly the walls and doors on our floor, which were dingy and covered in marks. This gave a neglected feel that could easily turn off guests looking for a more pristine environment. While the location of Harvey's Hotel is ideal for exploring the beauty of Lake Tahoe, the hotel could significantly benefit from some renovations and attention to detail. A refresh of the interiors could help in restoring Harvey's to a more appealing state that matches its wonderful surroundings. Overall, if you're not too fussy about modern aesthetics and can overlook some wear and tear, the welcoming staff and excellent location might make up for the drawbacks. However, for those who value a clean and updated environment, this hotel might not be the best choice until improvements are made."

"This place is amazing! The hotel was beautiful, and the staff were amazingly helpful. Saraphina, Jason, and the lovely house keeping team. The room was clean and over the top with amenities. The fire place and heating bathroom floor were a treat. We also took a trip to the spa. The ladies were thorough and amazing. I loved the lotion and my skin felt luxurious for days. We also at at the restaurant Jimmys. We ate there for breakfast which was varied and delicious. We also ate dinner there. The cocktails were varied and delicious. The entree, I had the prime rib and my sister had the pasta with the lobster, both dishes were full of flavor and filling. We did take the leftovers back. The view from our hotel room was amazing. We also enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub which despite the snow, was highly enjoyable. We were also able to borrow the hotels bicycles which was a fun, invigorating ride after our trip to the spa. Overall, this trip was everything we needed it to be. Welcoming, with a great room, beautiful views from our balcony, clean, with great food and drinks right on site. We are planning on returning!!"
