Weather was amazing, and the room was nice and comfortable. I only stayed one night, but it was a good experience, would recommend.

Pretty good deal, for the area
I liked that it was in a really nice area, the beach was right across the street and was not busy. The room was pretty clean. It wasn’t the nicest place but I slept pretty comfortable, I wish they had ac . Overall I think for the price it was reasonable and we would actually go back . Thanks.
Awesome location. Public beach right across street. 7/11 right next door. This’ll be my go to spot going forward.

Simple motel, great location.
Great location, close to lake access, restaurants and 7-11. The room was basic. Thin walls, could hear the neighbor snoring all night. Never got the wifi to work.

nice public park with small beach and BBQ area right across the street
Ed was very friendly and welcoming upon arrival. The room was much bigger than we expected, and had a microwave and mini fridge. It's right across from a public beach and pier which was beautiful, there is also a restaurant. We also enjoyed the cafe down the street for breakfast. Great proximity to Northstar, we will definitely stay here again!
Great value! Really liked the size of the place, would definitely stay again (though if you have a dust allergy/are sensitive, you'll definitely feel it, the place was clean but a friend with dust problems was coughing all night)
Went with our kids. It was quiet and a big room for us 4. We had a great trip and will be ba k

The owner was really helpful and accommodating to an early check in. Rooms were clean. The building is old but overall it was great at the price point.

The property is pretty old but things are still functional. There is a 7-11 right next to it and access to a beautiful beach across the road.
The room smelled like a dog kennel! It was horrible. The only plus side was location. They never offered clean sheets or towels, we had to ask. Future guests need to bring some nice smelling candles or a diffuser to use 24/7 to help with the smell. Theres also no ice machine or coffee pot. Thankfully 7-11 store is next door. The bathroom shower door would not stay closed, you had to hold it closed. That was annoying. Again, LOCATION is fabulous but the room is OLD and feels "icky" when you're in the room. We had to stay because we had our two dogs, but even they left smelling disgusting! The owner Ed is very nice. But maybe have some smelly plug-ins in the walls. There was also no plugs near bedside tables so you had to use bathroom plug or the one near tv and dresser across the room. We may return, without our pets, but we will definitely bring room spray and lysol.

Great price & location
We needed a one night stay quick and this very reasonably priced place popped up and had one availability for the night we needed so I booked online. This place is small but centrally located and right across the street from Gar Woods, great restaurant. All said, nothing fancy at all. No blow dryer, no ironing board. Just very simple. Needs a remodel and paint job. The beds were comfortable. We are in our mid 60’s and I think younger folks would do well in a place like this b/c the price was very good. Oh, the man working at the desk was very nice.
room was prefect for what I needed. Quick trip to the lake, quick check in and out. Room was clean, tile floor, outdated bathroom (whatever it’s fine)
Thank you
Rather retro, but the owner is super friendly. He met us when we arrived. The room is old but has everything we need. Lake Tahoe beach and an upscale restaurant are right across the street.
Overall, we had a good experience here. The lodge is strategically located in Carnelian Bay, where we could have a beautiful view of Tahoe just with a 5 minutes walk. There were also convenient store and laundry nearby. The only downside was the slight smell of the old property, and the place could feel quite stuffy in summer.

This property is not upscale but my stay was fine. Room was clean, hot water hot, and mattress acceptable. It was substantially less expensive than anything near it. It is at a busy intersection for near lake front property so there was some road noise during the night, but the place was better than I expected and much better than I feared it could have been.
This property is in serious need of an upgrade. The furniture is from the 70s, the carpet needs removing, the blinds hadn’t been dusted in a long while, there is no AC or coffee pot, flat pillows, and clearly there had been bugs in the bathroom that got sprayed as they were still there stuck to the floor. The Expedia picture is very misleading. The exterior isn’t cute wooden and warm -it’s worn dorm and hasn’t been painted in many years. When I arrived, the keys to my room were in an envelope with my name on it on the door of the office and they are actual keys - not key cards. It’s great that you can walk across the street to the lake and we really only needed place to sleep so I guess it worked in that regard and it was cheaper for summer Tahoe prices but def not what I expected for $130 a night.

This is an old basic motel. It appears to be a one person operation. And that person does their best to assist. That said, the beds are somewhere between firm and rock hard. On 2 occasions get hot water required a call to the front desk. Our shower moved back and forth between cool and too hot. Location is good. Across from the Lake and Garwoods
