"Outstanding, this is a real hidden gem. Quiet location (the only tricky part is the approach road which is a typical English country lane. The setting is nothing short of idyllic and the hostess (Caroline) was amazing. The room was clean, well-kept and spacious. Breakfast was nothing short of excellent every day with a good choice of options. This was without a doubt one of the best bed and breakfast experiences I have had. Location is close to the Bridport coast as well as within easy driving distance of Weymouth and Exmouth. I cannot recommend strongly enough, just an overall outstanding experience."

"We really liked everything about the Ollerod. Two thirds of our breakfasts were provided by Julie, who was so nice. We enjoyed chatting with her about the local area. The food was good and set us up for our busy days. We met Kim in housekeeping one day when we stopped by midafternoon. Our room was always spotless and looked as if we had only just arrived. The staff at the front desk were helpful and accommodating. One gentleman even arranged to have housekeeping launder a few shirts for us. The garden was lovely and there were many areas to sit and chat with a drink from the bar. We would most certainly stay there again if we make it back to Beaminster."

"A lovely cottage in a beautiful location and near to the coast and many other places. Bed was super big and comfortable ( my back is very fussy and no problem) and the bath in the bedroom was a a lovely touch. Everything we needed for a relaxing week."

"We spent a lovely week at the Old Engine House. The property is large, clean, comfortable and well equipped. It was very quiet and peaceful. Sandra and John are wonderful hosts who ensured our stay was perfect.The village has a pub only a few minutes walk away.The dog loved her stay too and having a private garden was ideal. Happy to recommend as a fabulous home from home stay."

"We had a very enjoyable week at Copper Beech which is situated in a lovely village. It would have been nice to have had a welcome pack to greet us or to meet the owners , there wasn't any spare toilet rolls or rubbish bags they would have been helpful. The rooms are spacious albeit rather bare of pictures and in need of updating. It was good to have all the bedrooms ensuite although some of us had dripping taps. The kitchen was well equipped and the swimming pool was a big bonus and the outside garden and orchard are very pretty. We opted to pay extra for the central heating which helped keep down the need to use pound coins in the meter. Overall, the house was fine for family and friends and was a good base to tour the Jurassic coast. There is a very good local pub called The Hare and Hounds about 1 mile away with excellent food and friendly staff. Ken ."
