Nice hotel let down by the area it is in
Efi is a nice hotel, with friendly staff and nice big and comfortable rooms. I hadn't realised when I booked that the rooms had a kitchen area with microwave and hob. I did have a stinking cold at the time so my mind was a bit off!. The breakfast was quite good and one of the few places I've stayed in Europe that had baked beans! What let the hotel down for me is the area of Brno in which it is located. I know the hotel can do little about it but it was very noisy and run down. I had to shut the windows in my room because of the noise. There's a tram that stops about 5 to 10 minutes walk away. It's not far to the pretty old town of Brno.

Student accommodation at best in a rough part of town. Super early checkout times meant you can’t see the city without storing bags. Only bath tub with a shower head that has to be held (no screen or curtain or shower fixation).

Badly designed, noisy, poor service
Very poorly designed hotel, no light switch or table next to bed. Bath did not have a shower curtain, nor a holder at head level for shower head. The rooms are not air con, and the road at the front was very noisy with people shouting until 2am, so shut window and far too hot to sleep. Open window, and can't sleep due outside noise. Bar was supposedly opened to 2200, on 08 September they had zero interest in serving at 2150, even to take a drink back to room, appalling customer service and lazy staff.

Over-all it was okay stay , but the safe didnt work, door hardwareb was falling apart , bed was super hard so was not really comfortable, and bathroom has a big tub that if you are elder or with limited mobility would have issues getting in an out, and no nightstand so have to set things on the floor .

The stuff was friendly and the apartment rent had really good conditions. The only issue is the location of the Hotel . Even if close to the center is located in a problematic place in Brno where you can face some issues related with safety.

Wedding anniversary trip
The hotel is confortable Has 2 buildings one old wirhout airconditioning. Unfortunately this was our selection and we need to pay extra to move to the other building with air conditioning. Read carefully about your choice. The staff in reception very kindly and willing to help us in our request. Good for theirs..!!. The area of the hotel is so-so. If you like to the city center provides a free shuttle to go and return, very nice this option and the driver also.

Great view of the old town from the top floor
I received great support before arriving as we were checking in quite late. Everything was fine from then on. The breakfast and pool were highlights.

Good stay for one night.
The welcome drink voucher on arrival was much appreciated. Parking on site is convenient and while not very cheap it is still a lot cheaper than parking elsewhere in the city. Unfortunately the room did not have AC so it was a bit hot, but we knew that before booking. It is not very far to walk into the city but the shuttle to various places in the city is wonderful. Great stay for one night.

A hidden gem
We have stayed at this hotel more than once now. The rooms are good beds are really comfortable. The staff are really helpful and friendly. The area looks a little run down but it is 5 minute walk from Brno town centre and I have seen them redeveloping the area over the last 2 years. Absolute value for money. I have stayed at the more expensive hotels in Brno and will pick this hidden gem every time I visit.

Bes value hotel in Brno.
Best value hotel in Brno. Professional staff, clean rooms, and good size rooms. Not the greatest of neighborhoods, but it’s relatively close to the center.

Everything there is excellent, except for the neighborhood that it's in – which is perfect by car (they've a large, protected parking lot), but not so great on foot (especially evening hours).

Nice hotel just in a poor area
The hotel itself is very nice and the staff are very friendly although we did find it very hard to sleep as the beds aren’t to comfy and the blinds are useless so the room is very bright. The area around the hotel is not so good didn’t feel safe walking home late at night the hotel do provide free taxis until midnight which is great but be prepared to pay for your own after this time.

The rooms were spacious and renovated, the only positive. The location is terrible, located across the road are very unpleasant residents who make constant noise play loud music until very late cars coming and going constantly with horns beeping. The area at the front of the hotel looks like a slum. I was told by the hotel that they are gypsies. Majority of the staff are unfriendly and never appear happy, again I was told by the reception staff that this is the way central Europeans are, which I have found to be true, cultural thing I suppose, not what I'm used to in the hospitality and service industry, there really was neither, quite unpleasant. Wouldn't even consider recommending or staying here again.

We are glad you were satisfied with the equipment of your room, however we are really sorry to hear you left us with such a negative feeling regarding your stay. To prevent the noise issue we always recommend booking rooms with courtyard view for multiple-day stays, as they are much calmer in contrast to the cheapest Standard room facing the street. For that reason we also ussually offer an upgrade of room. Our hotel also provides free shuttle service to the city centre and back from 4/6 p.m. up until midnight despite the hotel's proximity to the centre and we believe that daily usage of this special service helped to make your stay more comfortable. We might have pointed out some culture differences, but on no occasion it was said that the service we provide is of poor quality, as we always aim to ensure the best experience possible for all of our guests. Nice hotel not great area
Lovely apartment with great facilities. The only let down was the area, it was not particularly nice to wall through especially at night. The tram stop wasn't too far away though. The restaurant was also good.

Nice modern hotel staff very helpful.
We had the rooms that had no air conditioning big mistake on my part for not checking this out just presumed it would have it. as it was 35 deg plus when we were there it was uncomfortable even with the fans they provided in the rooms. as im not a drinker I think the free glass of wine voucher would be better if they provided a welcome pack for the rooms say tea bags,coffee ,milk etc

Other than the people that tried to come in our room because they were given the same room and some noise from a fight with drunks on the street. It was good.

Great hotel, very clean and great staff. Breakfast good. It is outside of the main centre of Brno - which I knew about before booking - but Brno is pretty small anyway so not an issue.

Gym and sauna are not free
This hotel is located in a scummy area of Brno. No amount of free shuttles to the centre can change that. The shower is ridiculous it is in a bathtub and is only 1 foot high so you must sit to shower. The drainage is slow so you end up sitting in dirty water. But the most aggrevating thing about the hotel is that you must pay to use the gym and sauna. These features shouldn't be advertised as part of the hotel if you must pay to use them.

Perfect location with all the amenities
Only a straightforward 10-15 walk to main shops etc. The hotel offers a free shuttle to and from the town centre in the evening/night but we walked as so easy to do and didn't find the area intimidating like some reviewers mentioned. Room is spacious and fully equipped. Plenty of heating and hot water. Reception staff very helpful with any queries we had and are accommodating. Great hotel at a very reasonable price, wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
