"Hotels in old Ottoman district narrow roads and ottoman architecture. Roads at night were dark enough and narrow enough to make my wife nervous. Hotels.com sent us an immediate con formation. However the hotelier rejected the confirmation and insisted that he needed to confirm it himself. As it turned out he had a room and we did book in after a half hour of conversation about how he needed to get hotels.com to recognize that he wanted to confirm"

"Fabulous, almost new boutique hotel with 7 rooms half way up the hill at the back of the markets. Owner was friendly and helpful, arranging us tickets at a local event. The included breakfast was small but sufficient. (just watch the costs associated with 'welcome tea' and 'breakfast coffee')"

"The staff tried to make the guests comfortable. The hotel was centrally located, easy walking around the center of town and to the bazaars. Although cleaning was done regularly, the hotel itself looks very worn-out and so the environment is not very pleasant. A coat of paint on the outside and in the rooms will go a long way to make it not look and feel so run-down. The bathroom was the most unpleasant part. It is ot properly designed; it is very narrow. "The staff at Taskiran were amazing. Super kind and helpful. Unfortunately our room was small and not in great repair. The buildings are historic and quite beautiful, so hopefully they will improve the bathrooms, decoration etc over time."
