"The setting was perfect for what I wanted in a quiet street away from the main part of town.- it is a short walk from town or you can catch the local bus and alight right outsideThe information left to read was clear accurate and helpful about facilities, expectations and surrounding shops etcThere was one drawback, especially for people wanting complete peace and quiet. Being a garden suite below the owners there was considerable noise coming through the ceiling/ floor of foot traffic and even everyday conversation. I’d stress that no one was being noisy just everyday living , but need to be aware.Otherwise a most enjoyable few days."

"Perfect location with unbelievable views. The cabana was just the right size for me and my wife. I liked that the mattress was adjustable and had vibration. Also, since we came in September, we were able to see whales from our balcony. Overall an amazing experience."

"We had an amazing time here and arriving in late afternoon with the deck doors open to the panoramic view and sunset was terrific! The house is really well appointed which made the stay very comfortable. Heated floors in the bathroom, amazing shower and kitchen!"

"Helen is a wonderful host, very friendly and accommodating. The only thing we wish she had provided was an extra arm chair. There was one very comfy one but if there are 2 people who want to read and relax in the evening one will have to sit on the bed or on the dining chair."

Ocean & Mountain View Captain`s Cottage

"We had a lovely time at the cottage. The views are phenomenal and the house is very well appointed. There are many spots to lounge outside if the weather is nice, and we ate most meals on the patio. The grill was great to cook up some salmon we caught and the property had all the proper pots, pans, and kitchen utensils. Our host was very communicative and checking in was super easy. The location cannot be beat as it is a 15 minute walk to the Snug Cove ferry and close to all the shops in town. We also enjoyed a great hike around Lake Killarney that was walking distance from the property. The one negative was that the house had lots of flies inside; a problem that didn't get resolved while we were there. We appreciated that the host dropped off some bug spray but it was ultimately a bigger problem with a dead animal in the ceiling that bug spray couldn't fix. I think it was bad luck on our end but I would message the host before booking just to make sure it's been resolved."
