Great hotel, has an old school country club feel about it, with lovely grounds to the front overlooking the sea. The night I stayed, there was a fantastic Jazz evening followed by someone playing a few tunes on the babygrand piano (me!). Short walk to the centre and main attractions. Like an oasis in an urban dessert, I cannot recommend it enough. I look forward to a return visit soon.

Nostalgia on Bournemouth sea front

Beautiful nostalgic hotel overlooking the sea. Very quiet and relaxing, good service and immaculate room, clean and bright. Would definitely stay again if looking for a peaceful stay.

Hotel is superb. Room with private balcony exceptional. Hotel is in wonderful location. Beautiful gardens down to beachfront and only few minutes walk to the pier and gardens. Staff so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Couldn’t fault the food, so much choice and delicious.

Beautiful hotel and gardens, very friendly staff. Restaurant pricey with sometimes slow service. Meals, some very nice some mediocre. Room quality excellent, a really enjoyable stay.

Quiet clean comfortable and superb views.

A bit tired

Room was clean and tidy, but very little sound insulation could hear the fan going in the bathroom from the room next door, and could clearly hear conversations of people walking past the room in the corridor outside. The double bed was in fact 2 singles sipped together and was hard / uncomfortable. Was shocked to discover that I had to pay an extra £15 for parking overnight, and actually took car and put it on the street which is free between 5pm and 9am

Perfect!

Mine was a last minute booking as I was let down by another hotel and I could not have been made to feel more welcome! I was put in a suite room at the front of the hotel with a huge balcony - and the bed was the biggest I've ever slept in and so comfortable! I was in Bournemouth for a sports tournament so I didn't spend much time in the room but I appreciated the great shower, the luscious towels, the dressing gown, the easy chairs and the quality tea/coffee provision and toiletries. The bath and tele weren't that great but that didn't matter a jot - I didn't need them! The staff were all lovely and made me feel completely safe being away on my own- thank you! Looking forward to coming back next year - this will now be my first choice go to hotel in Bournemouth - perfectly located too!

All of the staff were efficient, friendly and professional.They were all a credit to the hotel's owners, in dress and appearance. The hotel's position is one of the best in Bournemouth, slightly set back from the road and unrestricted sea views. Sitting on our balcony was just divine. The hotel is meticulously maintained we will certainly return.

I booked a single room for 4 nights. On the first night I was unable to sit or sleep in the room due to the heat. It was unbearable. I couldn’t breathe and didn’t sleep at all. There was a small fan in the room that broke. The reception was then only able to provide a small desk fan that they used at the reception desk. The next day I explained to the hotel that I couldn’t stay and had decided to go home. They showed me another 2 rooms that were larger but in need of an upgrade but still very warm. I felt unable to stay so changed my flight to the next available one which was the next day at further cost. Not long after I did this, the hotel offered me an upgraded air conditioned room but it was too late. I had paid for 4 nights but only stayed 2. As the booking was non refundable the hotel said that I wasn’t due any refund for the 2 nights I didn’t stay . So .. please be careful and make sure this hotel is right for you before booking because if it’s not they won’t refund you.
