Something different
Our family normally stays in Oceanside but for spring we were trying something new for a short weekend trip. This property was beautiful and very enjoyable for young children. And Oceanside is 20 away so Saturday night we went into town and had a great evening. Highly recommend for nature lovers and young families.

Wonderful relaxing getaway
Came up with some friends for a relaxing batchelor party. Enjoyed the calmness of the place, played tabletop board games and cooked some good food on the grill. Really great place.

Beautiful Home with amazing views
This is an adorable little place that is cwry well maintained. The area is very private and away from the big cities, yet close driving proximity to all the fun places. The family favorite place was the pool/hot tub while the sun was setting with the amazing views! My favorite was the amazing succulents on the well maintained property.

Loved our stay!
Kris was very friendly. The guest house was clean and was perfect for the week we stayed. We really enjoyed the pool and the views outside are gorgeous. We had everything we need to pack with and do laundry. The beach is only 20 minutes away. We would definitely love to stay here again thank you Kris!!

The guest house was just the right size and had pretty much all that we needed. A couple of notes for future guests: -Instructions for accessing the gate key should be more clear -Anyone who is a light sleeper should know there is a rooster on property who is a very early riser Otherwise our stay was terrific!

This place was perfect both inside and out. We loved having our wine and dinner outside by the brick fireplace under the white italian lights looking out over the hillside. We got fresh eggs. And Kris always got back to when we needed anything.

Very nicely setup,/appointed, comfortable, quiet. Pretty area. Easy access to highway. Good communication. Very pleasant view. Driveway is below—so need to be aware you will have to carry items up(due to rain they let us park above)also due to torrential rain we couldn’t sight see(we r not drinkers—so don’t do wineries). Would’ve liked a radio & regular cable TV(we r 77- not techy & hard to understand smart TV—but we were aware b/4 we went). Checked out early

Short Visit with my Cali family
It was perfect stay for my small family, while I caught up with my California family. It’s got beautiful views, was able to hang out in the hot tub the last night. Family does live in the main house which was great for my 6 year old daughter because she got to play with their kids. It’s secluded from the city but only 20 minutes to Oceanside or Temecula wine country. Host was very responsive and gave us tips for restaurants and grocery. Great place to stay 😁

Great house and host
We arrived very late after flying into San Diego. But the check-in instructions were simple and worked well. The house is great, clean, well equipped, and the host is friendly and helpful. Just be aware of a minor thing, the main picture of the listing with the outdoor fireplace is actually located right in front of the host’s house. While we probably could have used it, we didn’t feel it would have been appropriate, especially since the rental house has its own outdoor sitting area. And while it was not pool season, so it was not an issue, the pool is located behind the main house. Again, I am sure the host would have let us use it, weather permitting, especially since the listing says there is a pool, but it may not feel very private considering the proximity to the main house. Otherwise, the description and pictures are accurate and the house was perfect for us in every way. We would gladly stay there again next time we are in the area.

Great Location for North SD County
What a wonderful location & beautiful place! The unit was very clean located amongst Avocado Groves, tree farms and flowers. A truly rustic location but so very close to the beaches & Temecula Wine Country. I will keep this place for future stays as I have family I visit in Fallbrook. I highly recommend staying here!

Wish it was more private.
Host was helpful and location nice but we assumed that paying an extra to use the jacuzzi it would have been more private. From the pictures, it looked more private but then owner had people over (not loud or anything) but that deterred us from cruising around the house and using the pool/jacuzzi. Our mistake for assuming it was more private. For what we spent, we could have stayed at a hotel by the beach. Nice place but not what we expected for the price.

Hi. I am sorry the place did not meet your expectations. The spa location description was clearly stated with many of pictures attached. It is also clearly stated it’s shared with the homeowners as we have kids that love swimming in the water. Additionally, if you needed a privacy you could have simply asked and we would do other activities or take the kids to the park. Communication is a key during your stay and I cannot fix something that I don’t know is a problem. Thank you Kris

Great location for daytrips to Legoland and SeaWorld. We enjoyed evenings on the deck as the views are gorgeous. Kids enjoyed the pool that is on the property. The kitchen is well equipped for breakfast and dinner preparation. The owner is friendly and welcoming. We will definitely return. Highly recommend this lovely property.

Cute guest house with everything we needed and an amazing view
Both beds were very comfortable. Kids loved the pool. The view from the porch was amazing, the table on the porch was my favorite spot to work, eat and just relax. Kitchen and laundry had everything we needed. The pull out coach bed mattress is ready to be updated. Some feedback for when you have guests you know will need the coach bed (we had 6), pull the couch cushions off and clean out the crumbs and debris from the couch and mattress, we had to clean it up. Also had a small ant issue with the trash that was resolved quickly (thanks Kris!)

Girls Trip
This was a great little place to stay and relax. Close enough to the beach, Temecula wine country and San Diego. In the middle of everything, yet has the feeling of being away from all the chaos.

Quaint and cozy
A few friends and I stayed here on the night before and after my wedding! We didn’t spend much time at the house itself because we had a lot going on for the wedding. Either way, this spot was very cozy for us and super comfortable! I would recommend this place or even stay here again!

Owner's home is only a few steps from the front door.
This is an ADU manufactured home built on the owner's property. It was very clean and comfortable. We rented it while our home was being termite tented. I booked using the VRBO app. I specifically booked a pet friendly accommodation. Arrival to the gate is confusing. There is a lock box located on the chain link fence, that is where the code is to be entered, not on the electric gate entry keypad. Once that was resolved, the owner called me to tell me my pets were not approved. I went back to the VRBO site to ensure I had done everything as it indicated, I did. There is only a pet check box, do you have pets, or do you not have pets. The owner told me that pets were to be approved. I booked this VRBO in July for our termite tenting in September. All of a sudden I was told my pets were not approved once arriving. There was plenty of time for this owner to send me a message, ask for the breed of the dogs, approve of them back in July. Instead, he required me to pay an additional $50.00 for the two dogs. He then informed me there are small children on the property and he does not want pit bulls. I suggest he not allow any pets. There are very safe and friendly pit bulls. I do not own one, just making the point that if you have a pet you may want to not consider this unit.

Laid Back and Peaceful
This was the cleanest property I have stayed in throughout 16 years of booking cabins, condos, and basement apartments. It was family’s first time in SoCal, and we East Coasters loved the natural scenery. The house is about 50-min drive to San Diego, but it goes fast and traffic was negligible on I-5. Loved returning to the quiet neighborhood and front deck with expansive views of the agricultural landscape. Thirty mins to Temecula wine area. Target, Von’s (Albertson’s) and Ralph’s (Kroger) on the highway west of the house. House stocked with cooking and toiletry essentials, beach towels for pool, a Keurig machine, light blankets, lots of channels, utensils for grill (which we enjoyed). Owners live in main house, but it is still private and the guest house has a super private patio off the kitchen. Owner Kris was very responsive and the family is friendly.

Stay here was perfect
Very clean. Very smooth experience checking in and out. I don’t know how they did it, but they thought of everything. Our stay was great. We wanted to get away for some family time and having this house for our stay was awesome. The pool was a main feature for us and it was great. We swam for a few hours each day. The accommodations were perfect for us. Family of four. And, was enough space for meal prep and hanging out to talk and play games. The house is on a hill, but in 10-15 mins you can get to restaurants (we did some takeout), and stores for any needed supplies. I am so grateful for our stay and the wonderful family time it provided us.

Hidden gem off the beaten path
We were very happy with this rental and would definitely recommend it. There was great attention to detail and the home was well equipped and very clean. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of space for a family of 4 and we had stunning views on the patio. The kids enjoyed the refreshing pool and visiting the chicken coop and orchards. Kris and family were very welcoming and warm and we hope to return again soon.

Amazing views!
First time in California! We loved the views from this property. Beautiful vineyards in every direction. (And a secret super spy lives next door. He owns a helicopter!) We loved the pool. Great size for our 5 kids and super safe for little ones. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and used the gas grill. The home has 2 comfy queen beds and a queen rollout couch that worked great for me, my wife and kiddos. We especially enjoyed the outdoor patio for dining. We had incredible weather all 5 days in July. Great owner! Thanks Kris! Be sure to meet Kris’s mom too - she’s the best!

Convenient Country Retreat
This lovely little guest cottage was just right for our party of four and was much better stocked than expected, based on our collective previous experiences. We'd had so much going on that we didn't pack more than our very most basic essentials and hoped we could pull some food together once we arrived. The kitchen had any cookware and appliances we really needed and the store was just a few minutes away so we could grab a few things for dinner and breakfast. We appreciated the beautiful views, peaceful environment and friendly hosts. The site wasn't too far from the mainstream but just far enough that we felt we'd escaped daily cares and rigors for a while. It was especially nice to sit on the porch and chat over coffee and Dudley's bakery treats sold at Daniel's Market.

This place is a gem! Kris was very helpful and the property was as described online. The home is clean, comfortable, quiet and the property is interesting and beautiful. The chickens, gardens, songbirds, and landscape make for a wonderful countryside stay. I would definitely return to stay here. We found the rental perfect for our stay while attending a wedding near Fallbrook.

Great location for exploring unique beach towns along the coast. Beautiful serene setting. The guest house was clean and comfortable and well stocked.
