Book a Blue Ridge Tunnel Trail Cottage

"So, upon checking in we were informed that there was a $5 parking fee, per day, to use the 1/2 empty parking lot. This location was in the middle of nowhere, in Staunton VA. Then, on the Monday we were to check out, the breakfast buffet ran out of food, at 7:30. No milk, no bagels, no eggs, no pancakes, no fruit, no cinnamon rolls (which is their named brand item). The front desk staff apologized but did not offer any type of compensation or points for the next stay (which will never happen). Fitness room was big, but no towels on Monday, no water, no working TV on any machines. This property was recently renovated, so it looks nice but the service is poor."

"This is the perfect hotel for a stay in Staunton, especially if you are attending Shakespeare plays at the Blackfriars Playhouse next door. It was raining on Friday when we arrived and so was the perfect location to access the playhouse. We had a beautiful, clean room with a great view of the town. Also a bonus was that parking is free in the parking deck on the weekends. The parking deck shares an elevator with the hotel. So we don’t have to pay to park or find a parking spot on the street. Just park and leave your car for the weekend, with everything within walking distance. And though the breakfast is $15 per person, it was well worth it. Very nice buffet that included hot and cold items. Eggs, bacon, sausage, yogurt, oatmeal, grits, fruits, breads, etc. It feels more like a restaurant with friendly wait staff, than a typical free hotel breakfast. That being said, I spent less at this hotel than others in the area with free breakfast. This hotel definitely had the wow factor. We will be coming back. "

She made an excellent Passionfruit martini and was a wealth of information about the local area. We will definitely stay here when we're in the area again."
