"The staff were friendly and very attentive, and there was a complimentary breakfast that was well-stocked and easy. The beds were comfortable. We didn't seem to have control of our room temperature, so not sure whether our thermostat was broken or whether there were building-wide set points. "

"It’s a beautiful property right in the heart of Charlottesville… easy access to campus and village restaurants and night life. It is a different feel not having a human to check in… no front desk… just a code and a room assignment."

"This hotel is in dire need of a facelift. The furniture in my room featured chairs with peeling leatherette and the lighting was low power. The worse was the staff. The gentleman who checked me in was nice and polite, and when I asked for a late check out, he said no problem and said I had to check out by 2pm. This was perfect. However at 8:30AM, the phone rings and this shrill woman says we must vacate by 1pm. First off, thanks for waking up the whole family at 8:30am. Second, it’s not our fault the first staff member gave us a late check out. If she had simply called at a DECENT TIME and politely explained everything, this would have been fine. She was rude and unprofessional. I am unsure why she is in the hospitality business. "

"Hotel guests need to be told when quiet time is. We were woken up by a group of drunk hotel guests in the room next door to us at 1:00 in the morning. They were shouting and playing music really loud. Totally ruined our sleep and our stay ."

"Check in was a little hectic something happened with our reservation. Front desk was awesome. Very busy. Amenities were not listed anywhere since check in was hectic we were anxious to let the people behind us check in. Not sure where anything was. Was very excited about the roof top but that was a bust. The help up there was not friendly at all. They were out of things she was happier not making a sale then suggesting something else. Only went up there once which was a bummer it was nice and would have liked to enjoy it more. Everything was nice not sure if we will be back to the graduate. "

"The woman whom was probably a manager was terrific. Overheard our needs and made them happen right away. 2nd time we stayed there and we would come back again. "
