"This was our 3rd stay at Bailey's Lakehouse. Our host / hostess are wonderful, responsive people! This is a little spot of heaven frozen in time. Pure 1940's rustic cabin so much like the one our family visited when we were kids except this one has indoor plumbing, lol. Quaint & clean. Backdoor just steps from beachfront. Pet friendly. Crystal clear lake. Fishing off dock. You can watch the sun come up from kitchen table, or go down to the water with your toes in the soft warm sand. If you're from a city you will be amazed at the stars in the night sky! Grocery store just a few miles away in case you forgot something. We find this to be a quiet, peaceful spot to relax. If all goes well we hope to visit again!"

"This a very nice house. It is on a lake, but doesn't really have a swimming area on the property. The use of the kayaks was a great option. We were able to do some fishing off the dock. The house is about an hour away from most bigger towns. We spent a lot of time in Alpena which had a great beach and splash pad. It was very hot while we were there. I thought that the house had AC, but it was only 2 portable units, one downstairs and one upstairs. They did not cool the house down, especially the bedrooms upstairs were very hot. But it was also 90 plus degrees while we were there. There was only one garbage bag, so that was tough the first day. We had what we knew we needed to bring, but thought there would be enough garbage bags to get us through one day with a large family and 2 kids in diapers. The house was fairly clean, and overall a very nice place to stay, Just bring garbage bags and fans if it is going to be hot."
