We went to the Jim Crow museum at Ferris University, you don't want to call it great due to subject matter, but it was very well done.

We thought Big Rapids was great for a small town. It could use one or two more liquor stores, but maybe there are restrictions since it's a college town.

It has grown emensely since I went to school there in 1999! It brought back so many memeories for me. I even looked up my favorite professor and sent him an email! I can't believe how the town has grown. But it still has a small town feel.

Dropping our son off at college. Town is small which is new to us, but I like that small town hospitality. People watching out for people.

"
We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Cabbage, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment we arrived, everything was just as described—clean, comfortable, and inviting.
The location couldn’t be better! Not far from the stunning Sleeping Bear Dunes and the charming Fishtown, we found ourselves perfectly positioned to explore the beauty of the area.
Our visit on July 11th, 2025, was quite warm, so we were especially grateful to step into a cool, air-conditioned haven upon our arrival. It was the perfect respite from the summer heat!
Everything about our stay was fantastic, and we're already looking forward to our next visit. If you're looking for a clean, welcoming place to unwind, we highly recommend The Cabbage. You won't be disappointed!
Can't wait to come back! 🌼"
"The Eagle’s Nest was an awesome place to stay for a week! The Blue Heron property was immaculate. The network of stairways was fun for our youngest to play hide and seek on. Three docks to fish from and plenty of beachfront. Even on the hottest days we could still find shade on the beach. The lake was great, not busy. 7 of us stayed and we were comfortable. Way worth the trip!"
"Red Indulgence did not disappoint!! We loved this accommodation and all of its amenities. It is truly a private escape in a beautiful part of the Huron-Manistee National Forest. We will definitely be back! "
"We stayed 2 nights in a queen room upstairs over the 4th July weekend. The bedwas clean and comfortable the bathroom was fine. We used the pool and the hot-tub which was good also. Some areas are looking like they need attention but overall the price was right for the offering. Breakfast was good with some healthy options."
