"This is a playbook of what a budget hotel is to be like, clean, comfortable, well maintained, plenty of tv channels, a nice pool area, (I didn’t use) nor did I go for breakfast. "My two friends and I stayed at Crystal Rapids Retreat to celebrate our “mid-life” milestone birthdays. We wanted to ditch the city to better connect with each other and nature, which we did ALL weekend. From watching the sun rise while drinking coffee on the deck… to traversing the Muskegon River in our kayaks… to grilling out for dinner and laughing around the fire pit, there was no shortage of peace and enjoyment. The property is well-maintained, supplies are aplenty, and the neighbors are very kind. This property is an affordable, hidden gem that won’t disappoint!"
"The moment we pulled up to the drive way I knew it was going to be an amazing stay. From the cottage feel to the abundance of fun things to do (kayaking, fishing, grilling, outdoor / indoor games, and so much more!) there was no shortage of family memories to build. So much so this place would be good for a multitude of stays: from romantic getaways, family (infant and kid friendly) excursions, and even just a fun adventure with friends, the riverside retreat stay was a 10/5 in my book. AC in unit, dog friendly, cozy environment, SAUNA, tons of grilling places and options, large fire pit, swimmable river, and more. I highly recommend this stay to anyone wishing a “riverside retreat.”"
