"Absolutely gorgeous and had all the most important amenities with excellent cold AC, beautiful bathroom and shower. Pull out sofa bed was comfy and everything was decorated super well. Astrophotography at night was excellent for Milky Way core "

"This was our second trip to your resort; our first trip was 4 years ago. We remembered why we chose this place in the first place with all the amenities. It is also a very peaceful & quiet place to relax. "
Big Bend Lodging at Ten Bits Ranch - Room #15 - Freight Office
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay! The Freight Office was spacious for 2 people and super cute. I like that there was also an public kitchen that had a stove and a grill. We had a lot of fun using the grill to make food after our hikes. The views from our stay at Ten Bits Ranch were stunning and the area was super quiet even with other guest staying there. I would stay here again "
"It is even more beautiful in person than the photos. They provided helpful and useful information before arriving and had supplies in the A-frame for use to use. Helps if you might have forgotten something. My boys loved the game room. Perfect place to go enjoy the area. Not far from big bend. I would highly recommend this location. Whenever we go back to the area this is going to be the place we would only book with. Thank you! "
"Place was amazing. Just know what you’re getting into. First off know that you’re off the grid. And there is absolutely zero cell phone signal and while there are certain locations on the ranch that does have Wi-Fi my particular cabin did not. Secondly, you do have to go on a 3 mile dirt road after traveling approximately 13 to 15 miles off the beaten path. I particularly didn’t mind this. In fact this is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a place to where I could shoot photography for the stars a place that was dark and so having an area that was off, the beaten path was exactly what I wanted. They had a restaurant there that had absolutely fantastic food. They also had a pool which I did not use. Apparently, according to what I read, you can fly into there if you should so shall choose. As there is an airfield. When you read about their history, you can take in the fact that they once partnered with the Shelby corporation to establish the Terilinga racing league. There’s a lot of history there. There’s also hiking which I did take part in do so at your own risk.
Outside of the lodge, you’re about 20-40 minutes from Big Bend national Park. There’s also a big bend State park. Furthermore, there’s a Terilinga ghost town which has fantastic ice cream and a place called the starlight theater that had live music too!
Overall, if you know what you’re getting into it’s a wonderful place to go and I quite literally enjoyed my stay there And I am eager to go and return."
"The Chiles' barndominium made for the perfect basecamp for my family as we explored all of the must do's in the area. The host were friendly, welcoming. We saw mule deer from the privacy and javelina while soaking in the hot tub. Our stay at the Chiles' barndominium was nothing short of incredible. It served as the perfect basecamp for exploring everything the Big Bend area has to offer. The location gave us a true taste of the Texas Big – wide-open skies, rugged beauty, and a peaceful atmosphere that made it hard to leave. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights was spotting mule deer right from the comfort of the property, and we even saw javelinas while relaxing in the hot tub – an unforgettable experience! Our stay at the Chiles' barndominium was nothing short of incredible. "So happy to stumble on this quaint little western casita village so close to Big Bend, but off the beaten path. Also glad we took the truck because the road in is not for the meek. Beautiful scenery and sunsets & really enjoyed exploring Terlingua. Loved our stay."
