The cottage was nice and in a quiet location, the master bed was comfortable, but the living room furniture was very hard and uncomfortable.

Exactly what I was looking for!!!
I was looking for a weekend getaway near both hiking trails and big bear lake, that also allowed me to maintain my creature comforts. 😆 This was it!! Perfect size, all the amenities I needed, only a couple hundred feet from Bristlecone trail, and a few minutes drive to the lake. I'll definitely be coming back!

Location was good, newer sheets/towels are needed/too thin and worn. There was a used make up sheet where the shampoo and conditioner were provided.

Adequate but not as expected
We've been renting from cool cabins for years and always choose a different property for our stay. We've always been pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. Spacious, cozy and comfortable with a well appointed kitchen making dinners relaxing and fun. This cabin was not on the same level as others we stayed at in the past. White it had everything we needed, was clean and was in a good location, it felt more like a motel or motor home than a cabin. We were cold and had to rely on space heaters and blankets for warmth. The kitchen had what we needed but was very small and not pleasant to cook in. We will not stay here again as u felt more like I was glamping than in a cabin.

Overall, our stay at Moonridge Vibes was fine. Easy check-in, and I appreciate our few extra hours since the cabin was ready. The photos are a bit misleading as the renovation seemed to be completed on the cheaper side. We arrived to find the sheets in the King bedroom with hair and fuzz throughout, so I washed them immediately and alerted Cool Cabins. All kitchen appliances and TVs are brand new and sparkling clean. The washer and dryer are from the 70s, but they look clean and work fine. I don't know if I have seen appliances that are that old before! The fireplace has gas, so it was very easy to keep a fire going throughout our stay. We had to use a space heater in the King bedroom. Overall, the neighborhood is great. We drove everywhere, so I'm unsure how the shuttle system works in this area. If you are looking for a well-appointed rental during your time in Big Bear, this might not be the best option for you, but will do the trick otherwise.
It was my familys first time going to Big Bear and Cool Cabins made it very safe, welcomed, and fun!
Visiting Big Bear through Cool Cabins felt very warm, comfortable, and safe. The best part was having a heater. Other places mainly required a fire place and we know nothing of how to use it, so having a heater was such a blessing. I especially liked how fast and helpful the staff was. Thank you for opening your cabin to us, we look forward to visiting again next year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
This cabin has definitely been redone by amateurs. The access to the backyard is basically unusable for dogs. They either need to be taken out front on a leash or use the deck off the master bedroom which needs to be sanded and painted to relieve themselves. The finishes are pretty rough. There is no heat in the bedrooms you have to use a plug in space heater. The fees we incurred were ridiculous. Please make sure to review the breakdown of ALL the fees before you commit to this cabin. The actual cost per night was $733 which this cabin is definitely not worth. It’s not walkable to the ski area and the shuttle is way around on the other side of the zoo basically making it inconvenient to use. This cabin is not on the shuttle schedule. We have stayed in many places in Big Bear and would definitely never stay here again.
