"Beautiful property, peaceful atmosphere, and excellent hospitality. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning. The host was incredibly kind and offered great tips for exploring São Miguel. Perfect location to relax after a day of sightseeing. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again."

"This home is beautifully decorated and a great highend feel away from home. All of the amenities were great & the home is kept clean. The host was great with communication. My only negative is that the area outside the home has limited dining options other than at small place across the street that closes at 6pm 4 days a week and is more a yummy breakfast or lunch spot (also with kind owners). Also there is no Uber on the island, only Bolt and it's new so it may be hard at times to get drivers but eventually you get one and pricing is reasonable. There are taxis available from the airport to the location, but you won't find any around once there. There is a website that you can schedule a pick up ahead of time for taxi travel. Overall we are very pleased with the accommodation itself at this location. 5 stars for the home!"

"We read many reviews before arriving and came with an open mind. Some common issues mentioned by previous guests were present but mostly minor from our perspective. Communication with Raul wasn’t great at first but improved during our stay.The home is in a great location and felt very safe. The gated yard and driveway were a plus. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and outdoor grill—my son even grilled black pig one night. Each room had A/C, though one bedroom’s unit was broken. Raul couldn’t repair it during our stay, but we used a fan from the kitchen which helped.The island is humid, and we did see several cockroaches, both alive and dead. Raul said he disinfects, but roach traps might help. We also had issues with the dryer, which he replaced with a working used one.The second floor has no bathroom, but this wasn’t a problem for us as our grandkids stayed up there. Adults may find it less convenient. The primary bedroom has a jacuzzi tub, but you can’t stand in it due to the jets. There’s also a full bathroom outside.Raul kindly left fruit, water, and muffins as a welcome gift. He also asked us to pay a new tax; VRBO advised against it, but we paid it to be fair.Overall, it’s a nice home with great amenities. We enjoyed our stay despite a few minor issues."
