"At first was odd with no staff, but great spot, nice stay"

"I loved it! I used this as a base camp to go hiking in Acadia NP, and it was perfect for that, but I also could have spent my entire two days at the property and been very content. As it was, I slept deeply on my air mattress in the loft and watched the beautiful sunrises while sitting at the shore and while eating breakfast at the table inside. On the second morning, I also explored the entire lake with the host's canoe. It was quiet and serene, listening to a pair of loons that I was able to see up close while paddling. I took a short, refreshing dip in the clear water of the lake. I was there mid-week in the shoulder season, so maybe I got lucky, but I had the entire lake to myself.If I'd been staying longer, I might have wanted the ability to lock the cabin. I did have an orb weaver spider join me in the port-o-john, but I left it alone and it did me the same courtesy. Really the biggest issue was finding and getting there. Google gave me a location for the address that wasn't even on the correct lane. I arrived after dark and the long driveway and lack of signage made it hard for me to know if I was going the right way or going to end up at someone else's house. I bumped into some tree stumps that were hard to see in the dark. Upon leaving the property, the big SUV I was driving, a VW Atlas Crossfire, had issues with the loose rock and spun its tires going up the small hill close to the road. Overall, I highly recommend it and hope I can return!"

"The property far exceeded our expectations. Everything was perfect and we were well taken care of by our hosts. We were very comfortable inside and enjoyed the outside of the property as well. The views were spectacular from all 3 levels of the home. We took advantage of using the kayaks provided in the bay. The location was convenient to Acadia NP, Schoodic Point, grocery stores, restaurants and gas. "

"This was a wonderful place. Immaculate. Thoughtfully furnished. Even the books on the bookshelf were great. And the games and the poster about the moose and the fire ring! This was our seventh trip to Maine and the first trip for my brother and his wife. We took them to see all our favorites, Bass Harbor, Thuya Garden, Tinder Hearth Bakery, Stonington, Fort Knox, Acadia, Thunder Hole, Jordan Pond, the Wooden Boat School and more. I asked my husband what his favorite spot had been. He paused and said, "It may have been just sitting around the VRBO." It is simply perfect."

"Wonderful property a good distance from Acadia for a weekend trip. The location was private and you truly couldn’t tell how close to the main road we were. I probably should have read the description better - we realized there was no refrigerator when we arrived and that we needed to bring our own water, but there was a large cooler and a few water bottles available until we could get more supplies. Host was great with communication and overall had a really lovely stay."

"The house was clean and well equipped. It was perfect for 6 people. The basement smelled musty and was not so comfortable as bedrooms.The grill was missing even though it was advertised.That was a bit disappointing and the stairs to the beach were a bit scary. Otherwise we had a good time in Corea."
