"I loved it! I used this as a base camp to go hiking in Acadia NP, and it was perfect for that, but I also could have spent my entire two days at the property and been very content. As it was, I slept deeply on my air mattress in the loft and watched the beautiful sunrises while sitting at the shore and while eating breakfast at the table inside. On the second morning, I also explored the entire lake with the host's canoe. It was quiet and serene, listening to a pair of loons that I was able to see up close while paddling. I took a short, refreshing dip in the clear water of the lake. I was there mid-week in the shoulder season, so maybe I got lucky, but I had the entire lake to myself.If I'd been staying longer, I might have wanted the ability to lock the cabin. I did have an orb weaver spider join me in the port-o-john, but I left it alone and it did me the same courtesy. Really the biggest issue was finding and getting there. Google gave me a location for the address that wasn't even on the correct lane. I arrived after dark and the long driveway and lack of signage made it hard for me to know if I was going the right way or going to end up at someone else's house. I bumped into some tree stumps that were hard to see in the dark. Upon leaving the property, the big SUV I was driving, a VW Atlas Crossfire, had issues with the loose rock and spun its tires going up the small hill close to the road. Overall, I highly recommend it and hope I can return!"

"The property far exceeded our expectations. Everything was perfect and we were well taken care of by our hosts. We were very comfortable inside and enjoyed the outside of the property as well. The views were spectacular from all 3 levels of the home. We took advantage of using the kayaks provided in the bay. The location was convenient to Acadia NP, Schoodic Point, grocery stores, restaurants and gas. "

"Location was great and private but very far from any stores. Be prepared to drive over a half hour to a gas station and an hour for coffee and food. Showering was terrible only had hot water for 2 minutes and it was either scalding hot water or ice cold no in between. The furniture in the living room is so gross and old like probaby over 30-40 yrs old. I really wish i was joking. I took picutres of the gross body stains on the chair it was like years of old sweat stains and the outline of someone's body. I wish i could upload the picture. To put this cottage on a rental platform is disgraceful, dont be a slumlord, dump a couple hundred bucks into the furniture. Really sad and gross."
