We checked in and were expecting a 4 star hotel experience. That did not happen. The room we received was very dirty, the carpet wasn't vacuumed and looked pretty gross. The furniture fixtures were full of fingerprint, sticky stains and dirt, side table and desk were sticky and stained, bathroom wasn't clean, bed had sheets with holes on them... how is that a four star quality fit for a Marriott Renaissance hotel? I think that The management and housekeeping simply gave up on this location.
After showing pictures to the front desk and being frowned upon, they asked a manager to come and she moved us to a different room. It was better, but still not up to a 4 Star standard. The shower in the new room had moldy spots on it and the furniture could have been cleaner.
We wanted to end our trip after the first night but they refused to refund us, which we understand as we booked trough a third party. We will definitely take this with Expedia and we will contact corporate too as our experience was not a positive one at all. We paid a lot of money and all standards was really low at this hotel, it felt like we checked in at cheap, dirty motel. Would not recommend at all.
