Great hotel for visiting Avila. Very close to the main square. There is also plenty of free parking spots beside the hotel.

This was a very nice little hotel. Location was excellent. Breakfast could be a lot hearty than it was.

Nice hotel close to Avila's wall.
Quaint and clean hotel in a very good location. About 100 meters away from the wall's entrance. The staff is friendly and the coffe at their coffe shop was excellent.

Hotel exceeded expectations but guests were noisy
Hotel was fantastic, super clean, staff spoke little English but were willing to listen to my horrible Spanish, room smelled great (perhaps there was a scent sprayed onto the sheets), bed super comfortable. Only problem (was rather a large problem) is that sound travels because the walls are thin, and from 5 pm to when I slept at 11, the children and families in other rooms kept making so much noise. Had to put in earphones and listen to rain sounds - ear plugs did not help at all. If the other people had respected that I did not want to hear their every movement and conversation, then it would've been an excellent stay.

Our stay was outstanding!. We are traveling through Spain and Portugal for one month and have decided to return to Avila during our travels and stay again!

Avila Hotel
Small two star hotel just outside the walls of Avila. Fantastic location, just steps from a gate into the old city. Basic hotel with plain room, two single beds, nightstands and a small desk. But clean and functional, with a good bathroom. And air conditioning worked well, and since it had a separate control, didn't shut off when you left the room - which is needed in the Spanish summer.

Basic but clean hotel
This is a basic hotel that suited our needs for a quick one night's stay. It was clean and close to the historic area of Avila. The room is on the small side and is very basic but fine for 1 night. Breakfast and parking are not included. Free parking is available on the street if you can find it or there is a parking garage close by. A few breakfast items and coffee are available for purchase at the cafeteria that is part of the hotel.

Wonderful hotel in a great location
A one night stopover enroute to Sevilla from Bilbao doesn't do avillia or this hotel justice. It's a beautiful town, rich in history and especially importanr for Catholics as this is the birthplace of one of our very important saints. The welcome from this hotel was wonderful. It's location is ideal and the room was suberb. I only reduced score by one point for a couple of lights that didn't work and our ensuite bathroom door that kept jamming, once with 2 yr old inside. Never resulted in call to reception but a couple of anxious kids for a few moments but hey, they got over it! I would definately return.

Super Comfortable!
Nice location just outside city wall. Easy walking distance to plazas. Super friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are very clean. One con is first floor roomies at ground level so you do hear some traffic noise mainly morning and early afternoon.

Exceptional quality and location.
You have to try very hard to fault this place. Everything looks new and of high quality. Even the beds were good! There is aircon in the rooms and you can eat your own food in the cafeteria. There is a automatic car park in 100m down hotel side street but there was plenty of free street parking in June. Worth driving to los cuatre postes about 2km from hotel to see walls illuminated, lights on about 10.15pm and off about 11.15pm Don't let the moaners and nit-pickers put you off.

Lovely small hotel in excellent location for old town. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was quiet and spotless, with clean, modern lines. If walking from the station, make sure you aim for the city wall and walk along the pedestrianised ramparts on the south side to find the hotel right across the road from the gate which gives the hotel its name. Plenty of good restaurants and tapas bars within the walled old town.

We arrived on the eve of St Teresa's Day, probably the busiest day of the year so on-street parking was a problem. However, there is a good public car park almost next to the hotel, albeit fairly expensive, but we knew about this in advance. Rooms clean and modern if a little small.

Lovely little hotel, just outside city walls so quiet to sleep yet close enough to everything within just a few minutes walk. Spotlessly clean. Friendly & helpful. Would recommend Bodeguita de San Segundo, an excellent place for a nice glass of wine & excellent tapas, the choice of wine is amazing & the best I tasted during our stay in Spain. El Rincon del Jabugo, also on calle San Segundo is a nice friendly bar also serving fresh homemade tapas, restaurant there too. Also recommend La Barraca on S.Juan de la Cruz if you like German beers. El Portalon in Plaza del Mercado Chico is nice for a nightcap before wandering back to the hotel. All in all a great little hotel at a good price in a lovely old town.

Hotel agradável e bem localuzado
Boa localização, a apenas algumas dezenas de metros da muralha. Os quartos são pequenos, mas o suficiente para um casal. Sentimos a falta de um frigobar. Os preços da cafeteria são justos, considerando que é um local turístico. Achamos o colchão da cama pequeno.

La principale qualité de l'hôtel est sa situation au ras des rempart et très proche de la vieille ville, cependant nous avons pu garer facilement, Par contre les chambres sont petites et pour les nombres au rez de chaussée sur une rue. Mais l'hôtel n'est pas très charmant, mais il est bon marché (environ 40 euros)

Die gute Lage direkt außerhalb der Stadtmauer von Ávila hat den Besuch in der Stadt sehr erleichtert. Für drei Übernachtungen war das Zimmer sehr gut. Die Sauberkeit des Hotels und die Freundlichkeit des Personals stimmten.

Al hacer el check-in no había nadie en recepción, tuve que esperar cerca de 10 min para que me atendiera alguien. La chica que apareció fué muy simpática después. Le pedimos una habitación con bañera y nos dijo que no había en el hotel cuando en los planos te lo indica. La habitación muy pequeña, la cama de somier y colchón muy incomodo, las almohadas horribles, el climatizador no funcionaba hacia mucho calor, y el aire acondicionado no tenia mando. La insonorización de la habitación es horrible. Puedes oír todo lo que pasa en el hotel desde la habitación.

La estancia correcta, la ubicación muy buena. Los comentarios y actitud del señor que nos atendió a la llegada un tanto machistas, ignorando a la chica de una pareja que llegó a la vez que nosotros, esperando a 'mi marido', (aclaro que no lo tengo, pero q si lo tuviera, sería capaz de decidir sin él), y explicandome cómo funciona la tarjeta de la puerta, no vaya a ser que no conocza las tecnologías más punteras... (al chico de la pareja no le dió la explicación, me miraba alucinando igual q yo...). Además también tuvo el poco tacto de comentar en alto los precios que ibamos a pagar cada uno, (ellos sensiblemente menos) y que ellos estaban invitados al desayuno. En fin...

Nuestra estancia en el hotel fue de varias noches. Todo fue perfecto, tanto la habitación como el personal. Como aspecto negativo, he de decir que el hotel se encontraba en obras y no pudimos descansar todo lo que deseábamos. No obstante, el hotel para mi gusto tiene una valoración bastante buena.

Es cómodo por estar muy céntrico, el personal muy atento y en el restaurante donde cenamos 2 noches muy bien preparados los platos. Los dueños muy amables.
