"This is a pleasant hotel located right in the centre of Alnwick, within easy walking distance of the shops, market, castle, and gardens. The building is a former coaching inn and, considering its age, is in very good condition. We stayed for four nights on a bed‑and‑breakfast basis in an executive double room. Parking is convenient and located at the rear of the hotel. Check‑in was quick and straightforward. Our room was spacious and airy, with a comfortable king‑size bed. The bathroom was modern and well maintained. The room was quiet, and we both slept well throughout our stay. Breakfast was acceptable, although we would have preferred freshly cooked hot food rather than the buffet‑style option provided. We ate dinner in the hotel once; the food was fine, but there are better dining options available locally in the town. Overall, the staff were friendly, pleasant, and helpful, and our stay was comfortable."

"What can i say, a fantastic little cottage with everything you need. From the moment we got there we felt relaxed and comfortable. The little touches made all the difference.The location is perfect for exploring the area with the added bonus of 3 pubs within 1 min walk. The locals were very friendly and the food was good too. Helen the host was great, really good commumication and made us feel very welcome.We will definitely be going back and i would highly recommend it.Again, thank you Helen!"
