"The room was okay, could be cleaner and had this musty smell. The property was well maintained but the rooms could use some improvement. The pool area was really nice and the dining options by the pool was very nice and affordable. "The room was spotless, and the location couldn't have been better everything was within walking distance. Reception staff were consistently helpful, and the cleaning service was excellent. The view from the room was lovely too. My one complaint was breakfast it was overpriced and just not good and not upto the standard."

"My husband and I had an overall good stay at W Algarve. The location is beautiful, the staff were warm and helpful, and the Whatever/Whenever team was especially responsive. Any request we made was handled promptly, which we really appreciated. That said, the property did not fully feel like a 5-star luxury resort to us. Our ocean-view room was pretty, but the view was more from the side than direct ocean-facing, which was not as clear from the website photos. We also had a shower leak into the toilet area when we checked in. It was fixed the next day, but this is something that ideally should have been caught before arrival. The bathroom is attractive but not very practical, especially the glass layout and mirror placement. Housekeeping was responsive with amenities, but small proactive touches would help. For example, if a guest repeatedly requests shower caps or vanity kits, it would be thoughtful to leave extras during housekeeping rather than requiring another call each day. We also waited quite a while for the buggy to the beach. In the Algarve heat, having more buggies circulating would make the experience much more comfortable. Food was a highlight. We especially loved Paper Moon, and also enjoyed Vino. Overall, the staff and setting were strong, but more attention to small details and personalization would make the experience feel more truly luxurious. We would consider returning, though it would not be our first choice among 5-star Algarve resorts."
