During the day, we visited the busy areas of Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains (all about an hour away). "Sally was a wonderful host. The cabin was so cozy and adorable. Having our coffee on the porch in the morning was the perfect way to start the day. I had never been to the area before so Sally made some nice suggestions. We stopped by Davey Crockett park which was a very interesting and very pretty stroll. Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone visiting the Limestone or Jonesborough area."

"We rented Viking Mountain Lodge for my mom’s 80th birthday (4 adults and 1 yellow lab). The cabin is as advertised - beautiful location and everything we needed. recommend the drive to the top of Viking Mountain and the hike to Blackstack Cliffs. The village of Hot Springs is really cool and the AT runs straight through downtown. Highly recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to hike parts of the Appalachian Trail!"

"This cabin is perfect! Lots of fun and plenty of space! The bunk room was a huge PLUS! The host communicated so well throughout the entire process… even when it snowed more than expected and we were not sure we would be able to make it down off the mountain!! This was a great location! So glad our family did this!"

"The views from the balcony were gorgeous. The community was quiet. As a Floridian, the sloped gravel roads were a bit scary, especially after a bunch of storms but we made it safely. Highly recommend 4WD/AWD. So peacful sitting outside and enjoying the birds and the running creek below, plus the hot tub was awesome. Due to the rain, the firewood provided was pretty wet and difficult to use. Overall, a great stay!"

"We enjoyed everything. The layout of the house was great. Rooms were nice. The large round table was great for playing games. We had a blast. The driveway was a little intense so we parked at the top of the driveway. We would stay here again. The only thing that we would change would be the location. It was about an hour drive to anything we went to do. We would give it a 9.5 out of 10."

"This was the perfect cabin for us! Decent view from the patio and hot tub. I would suggest window shades on the back patio for the hot tube due to neighbors directly behind the cabin. The cabin was the right size for two people, and with all the amenities you would need at home. The property manager answered my calls immediately when I needed and had an issue resolved the same day. Only down side I can think of is the drive to Ashville is 30 minutes away depending on traffic. I will say that...

"The Best mountain cabin retreat in the US. Delightful Trout fishing in your own fully forested backyard. Cabin is updated inside and out. Artful Decor is whimsical. Local restaurants and stores are easy to access and interesting. Kitchen is fully outfitted to eat at home. Right on the Appalachian Trail with its unique transients. We plan to use this getaway as our second home!"
