"I booked for a senior suite. I was placed in a junior suite because even though I had already paid they double booked it and gave it to someone else. I was upset, but they said I’ll be refunded for the difference. I reached out several time to the property, to Expedia and they weren’t able to help. Even tho I was given a receipt with the amount to be refunded. Now I am filling a claim with my bank. "I needed a last minute booking and found this lovely home for a one night (or longer) stay. I booked it late at night and bc the owner lives in a different country (I didn’t know this) the time difference made it difficult to get the final information to enter into the home. Now I know that it’s important to book at least 1-2 days in advance to give the owner time to connect and share details.
