"Great place! Just a two minute drive to town or a 15 min walk. There is a shopping centre next door or a Stewart’s across the street. There are also dining options around without going directly into town. The place was new, clean and we loved the complimentary boating options. We would stay here again. "

"High peaks was great for our summer stay in lake placid. We were in the waterfront collection and the ease of lake and pool access from the room was amazing. The rooms were cozy and beds comfortable. I wish they had fixed the dock the other side of the lake to give more options to sit and view the lake. The included water activities was a real treat! I would love to see refillable water dispensers, they were nowhere to be found at the resort; in the summer especially, that would have been nice. Also, one night they should have a late opening at the bar at the lake house. They closed at 9pm, in the summer. I get not every night but make it into a special evening with late night bar and maybe some activity at the lake house for the guests. Also, they had a movie night but I think the movie was poorly chosen because it was rated R-comedy and there were so many kids staying there at the waterfront and watching the movies. It was just uncomfortable. Could have been a family friendly comedy/movie but they made a bad choice. Other than that, recommend the resort, cant beat the location."

"It was 40+ years ago when I stayed at The Georgian. It did not disappoint me at all. I took my two teenage granddaughter and they had a great time. I was only disappointed they they were too young to go out on the kayaks without a parent or guardian."

"Friendly staff. Very close to the main strip. Not log cabin style. Normal looking hotel which I liked. Clean. New. Great breakfast. Beach is across the street. Parking was very easy. Highly recommend. "
