"Had a good stay, the receptionist was very kind and helpful, and the property is genuinely nice. The kitchenette was pretty stocked. Complimentary breakfast and free parking a plus. My big issues were that someone from the front desk went to check my original room to make sure that it was ready and confirmed with the receptionist that the room was ready. Upon arriving at the door, the door looked ajar - I am assuming something was wrong with the mechanism in the lock part that makes the door slightly ajar and look open. I informed the receptionist and promptly was given a new room. 2nd issue was in the other room, I guess the freezer component was perhaps accidentally turned off by a previous guest or someone before me and I did not know. I had stored some food in the fridge earlier in the day and when I went to go get it later, discovered a huge puddle of water from the fridge. The freezer had melted and started to leak out and thankfully I had extra towels to dry it. Again, a nice place to stay and the staff are very kind. Just a little bit of some inconveniences that would be great to double check before rooming a guest."

"Understand up front this is a very old historic inn. They have made upgrades of course but there are things to be aware of. The 2nd and 3rd floor should be avoided if you have heavy or large suitcases or if you are tall ( hall has low ceilings) and stairs are narrow and cramped. The floors creak and walls are thin. Staff is very friendly and it is actually still a cool place to stay, just be aware of the drawbacks. Downtown Kennebunk is a nice place."

"Such a fun experience for my family. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Because it's Maine in Sept, nights were in the high 40s, which was too cold for our infant. The staff brought us two space heaters for the night to keep us cosy. I plan to stay at another huttopia location in the future."
