"The property is tucked away is trendy Marais and is walkable to the Louvre as well as many museums and galleries close by. There are a few mini markets nearby for groceries, and many cafe/food spots at your doorstep. When I stayed it was unusually hot conditions (41•c) but room was cool enough to sleep and there was stand fan provided. Loved this cosy little room and would love to see the other rooms available, all very unique! "

"Hotel du Plat d'Etain is a terrific place to stay to experience the daily flow of life in Paris. By which I mean: the hotel's in the Marais district, nicely situated amid blocks where restaurants and cafes abound; where a local metro (serving the #4 & #8 lines) is just 2 blocks away. I was able to navigate my way to the hotel from CDG Airport easily. It's a spot from where you can get to so many different neighborhoods in a flash--the ease of getting to Left and Right Bank sights surprised me. That's a real value to staying here. The hotel itself: the rooms are neat, small, and well-cleaned; I loved the shower--terrific water pressure. The staff was attentive, friendly, and informative. As a not-fluent French speaker, I was grateful that the staff was multi-lingual. Breakfast is served at the hotel; but you can get fresher croissants and better brewed coffee at local cafes for half the price. All in all, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat, and I hope I'll have the chance soon again to do so!"

"Most importantly - this hotel has AC! I visited during the heat wave and it was such a relief to have some respite from the heat, especially at night. The location is fantastic, many cafes and restaurants within a short walk, and streets full of great shopping. I was able to easily find buses and two subway lines within short walks. The room was clean and pretty spacious for a solo traveller. "
