That being said, they need to train all the staff in customer service skills, polite etiquette and how to assist the guests with whatever they have questions about. Upon check-in (after 12 midnight), the older lady did not inform me of any basic services or rules of the hotel. "After the eclipse we were caught in the worst traffic I have ever seen. At one point, on an interstate highway, in one hour forty minutes we made less than 10 miles. It became apparent that we could not get the the Rodeway Inn before the scheduled closing of the office at midnight. We called ahead, and the clerk remained on duty until we arrived at about 12:10AM. I could not explain how grateful we were."
