"This property was absolutely epic. Extremely fast communication, gorgeous house and delicious dinner coordinated during a time when most things are shut. Mari and her team were so great. "I do not recommend to stay in this hotel if... 1). you cannot speak basic Japanese. The staff cannot speak basic English and they were not even trying to use any translator device to communicate with foreign guests. I had to use limited Japanese to communicate with the staff. 2). you cannot tolerate heat nor noise. I checked in 2 days ago. This is already April which is spring season, but the hotel still had not offered cool function of air conditioning. How stubborn the hotel management is....

"This is a family run ryokan business by the Kouda family. We booked a house / villa that is with attached bath and toilets. It is a very traditional house with renovated bath & toilet and owners are friendly and accommodating . Location is not very accessible if you don't drive but they fetched us from wachi station as the ryokan is located 30 mins from local train. Would strongly recommend if you want a local ryokan stay experience."
