"Brathay Lodge makes for a very comfortable and convenient stay in the Lake District. The room was modern and well-maintained and the staff friendly and considerate. There is a parking fee (unless booked direct) but you’d have to pay elsewhere anyway. If you have an electric car it’s a good idea to let them know in advance so you can use their reasonably-priced ProjectEV charger. The continental breakfast was fresh and varied and set us up for the day. Would definitely stay there again. "

We did have a cotbed but it could still be a bit bigger for the kind of hotel it is. The mattress were a bit on the harder side for our liking but it depends on what you are used to. "A lovely guesthouse with a lovely owner. It’s walking distance to everything in Keswick. Lots of information on walks etc provided. A fantastic cooked breakfast is included in the price. The only negative for me is the radiator in my room wasn’t as hot as my friend's room downstairs and I really feel the cold. Otherwise perfect."
