Top Upper West Side Hotel Reviews

Night Hotel Broadway
8/10 Good
"Although the staff ran into some technical difficulties with the credit card reader, and the elevators are a bit small and claustrophobic, the staff was clearly dedicated to helping their customers check in and have a relaxing stay. I'd recommend this hotel to travelers looking to stay on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, or looking to see a Broadway show and stay overnight in the city."

Arthouse Hotel New York City

"You rated 1st! The internet is horrible. Unreliable. If you are traveling for Business you will be highly disappointed. It doesn’t work consistently in your room and the business center is pathetic. They say it’s a business center, but they have guests and children and even dogs and pets in there and absolutely impossible to do any kind of zoom call or work… every business person was struggling and having issues. It is not a dedicated business center, and the Internet is not reliable. It is loud and crowded and Not just was professionals. Breakfast: with my reservation breakfast was supposed to be included. What you get with breakfast is a small coffee and a toasted plain bagel or croissant. They have a full bakery and other food and it is not included in the breakfast selections. It is a small coffee and a plain bagel or plain croissant. I’m gluten-free and they would not substitute anything even though they had other options. The bar and café are way overpriced- freezing… They turned the music up so loud that it’s unbearable in the Lounge area… and the service is lacking… The room cleaning is lacking at best. Restocking the room was not consistent and the cleaning staff ALWAYS missed something… like sweeping the floor. No washcloths… or partial towel replacements. The front desk staff can be very snippy. No one knows what the other is doing. Inconsistent. Wish I could give a better review… It just takes a little kindnesses"

"The restaurant was nice. The menu could be better."

YMCA West Side

"The stay was okay but I did not like I had to pay a extra charge to use the gym as I checked-in"

"The gym equipment needs updating for sure …"

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham New York City Central Park

"It was decent. The rooms are a little small but there is AC. The staff was nice, but you get what you pay for. The area is super safe though, so the price is fairly good. You are also walking distance from lots of restaurants and Central Park. And the train stop is so close also."

Hotel Belleclaire

"Bottles of lotion and shampoo empty, but that’s an easy one. The biggest issue is how how impossible it is to get coffee downstairs with that $10 “bonus” but it’s too small. too crowded and thus hard to use. I think I just left nearly $100 of credits given but unable to be used. Maybe room delivery? Ha! Coffee makers or tea in the room? Being a regular at your hotel, the folks there have indeed fun and happy to see around. And, generally clean and all that but even just the waits at an elevator up to rooms that are getting smaller."

The Lucerne Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"A clean and comfortable hotel with an exceptionally pleasant and professional staff - everyone! - and immaculate housekeeping, which is hard to come by these days. The towels are in good condition, the bathroom was clean, no weird smells, and no extra furniture like unwanted side chairs cluttering up the space. I would say I am perhaps more discerning than some, and I was super happy with the cleanliness level and responsive staff. Housekeeping deserves recognition! I requested a blanket for the sofa area by answering a text asking if all was okay, and they brought it up without delay. I did not have to call to track it down. This is an organized place. My recommendation would be to turn on the a/c at the hotel breakfast before 8 a.m. because it is just too hot in the morning, very uncomfortable. The service there was also excellent. My other recommendation would be to leave complimentary water for guests. There was a bottle of Evian with a $6.75 price tag. That looked tacky and out of place. Plus who knows how long that bottle had been sitting there. If you're looking for a spot close to the Met it's about a mile walk through Central Park. We booked a king suite through Orbitz. Shuttle (car) service to LGA was $75, cheaper than Uber. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Hope this is helpful."
