A stop over for a night on the way back to The Netherlands and we wished we'd been able to have stayed longer. Heidelberg is beautiful and our room would fit other rooms we had stayed in twice over.
I can understand comments about it being stark, however the beds and pillows were clean and comfortable, there was a whole extra room for a wardrobe and plenty of space for the suitcases.
The sauna area was lovely a d the breakfast fab.

Great little hotel with perfect location. Only a ten minute walk from the old town and the train station. Away from all the hustle and bustle makes for a quieter evening. Room was perfectly clean and comfortable and staff was very friendly.

Hotel is located withing walking distance of the train station. The hotel is new, opened spring 2014. Our room was a good size with two beds. This suited us well as I was traveling with my mother. A free buffet breakfast was included. The staff was knowledgeable and spoke both English and German. They helped us with directions. They also provided me with an electrical converter to charge my cell phone.
Location is excellent if you're travelling by train. Self check in easy and convenient. Room was a little stuffy but there was air conditioning and it was amazingly quiet given the proximity to the train station.
I take a yearly vacation to Heidelberg, and this is the second year I've returned to this hotel, because of it's location, and price, both of which can't be beaten. The rooms are clean and spacious, the staff is helpful, and to reach the heart of the Heidelberg Altstadt, you're only a few minutes by bus, or a few minutes longer going on foot through the pedestrian zone. I will definitely return to this hotel again in the future.
