Location, staff and cleanliness were great. It is an old building and has a step to get into the bathroom. This is a very serious trip hazard.
This is an eight inch drop to ground level which is not expected when existing the bathroom.

A classic Hotel. Perfect location. Exactly what we thought a " typical" German hotel would be. The staff at the front desk were so very nice and accommodating. I will stay here again, next time I'm in Heidelberg.

The staff was very helpful, especially being able to speak English and help answer questions and information I needed to navigate around town. I give the staff an A +. The rooms were spacious, beds comfortable and overall very comfortable. Could not beat the location for walking and exploring the town. I enjoyed my stay and hope to be back one day.

As other reviewers have stated, service was wonderful. Everyone was very friendly and very helpful. The front desk person came out and helped me when my suitcase kept getting stuck on cobblestones out front. We had two rooms, views from both were amazing.
