"Really good facilities and very courteous staff."
Our brief to ourselves was a relaxing and comfortable holiday in an hotel offering good facilities, food and courteous staff. All these criteria were fulfilled, in particular, the magnificent outdoor swimming pools and wonderful breakfasts. Well done!

"Great location, fabulous accommodation and food!"
Built into the old town / port wall the hotel was stunning. Total relaxation but with enough local life to provide a sense of being somewhere a bit different. The restaurant provided fantastic food and service and the local wines were amazing. There was plenty to do in Monopoli for the week we were there. We negociated a private tour of the local area on our last full day. A small hotel - only ten (or so) rooms - but it didn't really feel that you were in a 'normal' hotel. I heartily recommend it.

We stayed at the Romanazzi for one night on our holiday before catching our flight home the next day.
The grounds are spectacular and not easily visible from the main street, which makes it all the more surprising as the immediate surroundings are modern ,busy and residential.
The room was comfortable clean and spacious. I particulary liked the swimming pool, tucked away in a relaxing corner with a few nice sunloungers , just what was required following a week long cycle trip.
We ate in the restuarant and had the 3 course traditional menu, there was a lighter version on offer as well for those looking after their weight.
A brilliant stay and definately wouldl recommend.
The young women who run this hotel are the kindest, most enthusiastic people you will meet. The hotel is a beautiful set of rooms in ancient Trulli, very modern, very tastefully decorated. Reservations at excellent restaurants were made for me each night. When I couldn't check in for my flight out of Bari, they called and confirmed my flight for me. I'd love to have them come and visit me.

This hotel is within the walls of the old city of Bari, so it is easy to walk to many beautiful sights and restaurants. Keep in mind, the hotel is on a pedestrian only street, so you will need to walk 50 meters or so from where the taxi drops you off. If you are driving in Bari, there was a parking area nearby, although it looked pretty full whenever we passed by. Not sure of any other parking options. The rooms are very nice with modern furnishings, luxury bathroom fixtures, and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was served promptly to our room and consisted of coffee, meats and cheeses, cereal and yogurt, bread, and fresh fruit. The staff was very pleasant and helpful and spoke English perfectly.
I can hardly fault this charming, centrally located, tranquil and lovely guest house and it's well priced. It's well run and the staff are exceptionally helpful and welcoming and can speak really good English, if that's important. Nothing was too much trouble, from where to eat to finding a real estate agent. The big hotels could learn a few things from this little gem. The room was beautifully designed and felt very generous and comfortable. One very small thing, I found the bed to be hard, but the staff tried hard to improve this.
Breakfast included lovely fresh fruit, toast and all the usual continental things with delicious home-made cakes that are typical here. Dinner is ordered in the morning, but it didn't seem to cause a problem if it slipped your mind until later in the day. They pride themselves on making local dishes and always good pasta. Their house red wine is really good.
The pictures don't do this beautiful masseria justice, there are lots of places to enjoy the peace in a thoughtfully placed chair under a tree or by the inviting pool. The pool doesn't open until 23rd May (roughly) so you'll have to go to the beach if you want to swim. There was a kitchen garden, lovingly tendered, which provides for the broad selection of antipasti and a vineyard to cocoon the property was in the process of being planted while I was there. If you want to explore Puglia, this is a really good spot to be - you can easily reach the Adriatic and Ionian coast.
