"I wanted a place in the mountains and Schwand Gusthaus delivered. Woke up to a scene out of a movie. Tall mountains, green pastures and tinkling bells on cows. Myelie and Patrick are great hosts. We had dinner in their restaurant one night. Excellent food! I am planning to stay here again this winter. It is a shared bathroom situation so if that is an issue look elsewhere. Beds were very comfortable. And Engelberg is a lovely little town. "

The property itself was simple with no bells and whistles. "Description had twin bed, in practice it was a single bed. Men's shared bathroom lock was broken. No soap in shared shower. You can hear every single thing the people in rooms next to you are doing. Breakfast was OK. Parking is convenient."
