"The accommodation was as advertised. No unpleasant surprises. Wood fire kept the house cozy. We were there late autumn, it would have been a great addition to have a wall heater in the bathroom which was outside on the back porch. Otherwise I would recommend a stay for those who can tolerant Taranaki temperatures. The easy close walk to the Whangamomona Hotel was the icing on the cake."

"Beautiful location and view of lake. Very peaceful. Well stocked kitchen and comfortable furnishings. Be sure to arrive with provisions as the store is about 20 to 30 min back."

"Our family stayed for 2 days in hopes of hiking in the nearby national park for a view of what Hobbit fans would call Mount Doom. Your house was a nice cozy setting in a nice neighborhood. We enjoyed the trail that went down to the riverside. Our host was very helpful and easy to communicate with. Thank you so much!"

"Tidy house and yard, everything you need for a cozy stay. Not many places you can take your dogs away on holiday, this house was perfect plenty of room for the dog crates in the lounge with out them getting in the way. Fully fenced section stunning deck. Very handy for nearby walks and easy trip to Taupo for a day of adventure. Will hopefully be back for another stay soon."

"We are so happy with the place. Kids love sleeping in the bunk beds. We got everything we need in the kitchen. There were lots of movies to watch in the TV. The house was warm when you started heating up the fireplace. The host was very helpful and even allowed us to check in early and check out late due to some delayed situations.
