"When I went to Sun Moon Lake in Nov 2023, the hotel was fully booked. When I returned there in April 2024, I made it a point to stay at the Lalu, and it did not disappoint me. "Staff are helpful and polite. Stayed in room with lake view and it was quiet and peaceful (on Friday night). Breakfast variety is plenty too. Hotel provided complimentary fireflies watching as it happened to be fireflies mating season. It’s just a short walk to get public bus to Taichung HSR station and catching ferry at pier. There’s free 2 hours bicycle rental. If you are there on non peak season, they can allow u to use it for a couple hours. "
