Walking distance from the train station - less tha. 5 minute flat walk. Friendly staff, clean room with large comfortable bed. Good bathroom. Excellent breakfast available which we had both mornings. "Hôtel Savary is a little jewel located in a quiet corner of La Rochelle. The staff here is unfailingly helpful, pleasant, and solicitous. The shoreline is an easy walk away, as is a boulangerie and charcuterie. The old city is a longer walk, perhaps 2 kilometers, along a beautiful avenue. My room, with terrace, was very comfortable. A park, and church with extraordinary bells, are nearby. I recommend this hôtel very highly."
