"This was the second time we have stayed here. It is a hotel in a listed building. The rooms are a little smaller than you might like but are very well presented. A listed building, so no air conditioning, small windows, no views and no lift. Bedrooms are all on the first floor so no good if you can't get up stairs. Would have been nice if the young man in reception had offered to help with the luggage as we were obviously pensioners. Location is perfect, just a walk across a bridge...

Unfortunately the information folder was missing so we had to contact the owner to get the WiFi code. "We stayed for a night for my birthday and my father in laws birthday and we spent the afternoon in front of the fire which was so cosy and relaxing. We then had dinner and had the famous ribs…we were all blown away by the quantity and quality of meat. The staff were incredibly friendly! The room we stayed in was huge and comfortable. "This magnificent building has been refurbished to an incredibly high standard. Our room was superb, very well equipped and extremely comfortable. Parking right outside the front door at £4.00 for 24Hrs. A tip; when you drive out, don't try to go out the same way as you come in as there are spikes to prevent you from doing so. You actually drive out through what looks like it is the church grounds."
