"This is lovely and spacious home right on the lake. Plenty of room and a kitchen fully stocked. Rob, our gracious, helpful and ever-available host, even provided milk and butter for us. Perfect base from which to explore the greater Rotorua area. Truly Serenity on the Lake. "

"No cooktop, no freezer compartment to keep ice blocks cold. No top sheet on either single bed, light over bathroom sink does not work, windows were filthy inside and out, floor between toilet and wall was dirty, no hand towel or face cloth provided. Only wine glasses provided for drinks. Only one mirror in unit, none in bedrooms. We can’t believe this place meets even minimum standards for guest accommodations. Only one tea towel provided, hot plate had no instructions and only Chinese labels...

"Stunning house, very clean, amazing views. Probably not ideal for young kids being right on the cliff. Also one of the bedrooms is located outside the house where young children might not feel comfortable sleeping. Gas ran out after our first night, Property Manager did sort the issue out but we had limited hot water & heating for half a day which isn't ideal, perhaps something that should be checked prior to guests arriving."

"We had a lovely family holiday at Lake Tarawera over Easter. The days were warm but the mornings and evenings a bit chilly, so the fire was very welcome to have. The house was very well appointed and there were plenty of activities on site like air hockey, table tennis and foosball. As well as being close to the lake for walks around the edge and not too far from the mountain bike park. Would definitely recommend"

"Beautiful view of the lake taken in from the super comfy armchairs. Enjoyed swimming, paddleboarding and relaxing by the water. Lucky enough to see a plane landing, the airport is very close but really quiet and not a disturbance at all. Short drive into town with loads of shops nearby too."

"Great that the cottage has the option to take your pet. Unsure whether cleaning is an option somehow (it was automatically added to the booking when I used wotif). I’d recommend the owners not make self cleaning an option, or to check in/reassess the cleaner used. Whilst the property is superficially cleaned, it really needs a thorough clean between guests and “stuff” should be packed away neatly or put into storage (contents in the laundry, rooms, etc). "Very good location being no more than 10 minutes walk from Taupo town centre and the lakefront. Nice modern building and being on lakeside 2nd story we had great views of Lake Taupo and the Mountains. Very quiet rooms with virtually no noise from other rooms/guests or road.
