"As cyclists on the great taste trail, this property had everything we could possibly want. The location is very peaceful and is near river access. The house has been tastefully redecorated while keeping a 'bowling' theme. I wish we could have stayed more than one night. Excellent."

"We had spent almost a week up in Abel Tasman Park at Awaroa so had been busy hiking, swimming and watching the tides. After all the running about, boat trip up and back this was a super relaxing stop for a couple of days. The view out over the river to the sea and distant mountains is fantastic and we woke up to a brilliant red sunrise. We did laundry and fed some of my breakfast croissant crumbs to the chickens. Its was great."

"The master suite upstairs was excellent for my older parents; grand views and their own space. A modern and spacious house. We had family at other houses, and the kitchen and many dining and deck options were great for group dinners. Set up on the heights, it’s a short drive to the main beach, unless you are pretty fit for the footpath route, but that also meant it was often quiet, even when the beaches were crowded.
