"Lovely warm home, great quality linens etc. The home is a wee bit tired but beautifully presented. The view down to the water across to the ranges is amazing. We sat there in the afternoons into the evening marvelling at the change of colours and light. Well set up. Even has a coffee plunger (that gets a gold star as we do love our plunger coffee). "Great place to stay for a long weekend getaway. House is very cool with lots of space to play and have quiet time if needed. Lovely big lawn to activities, kayaks and dinghy were great. Lots of toys books and dvds for rainy days. Pretty much all bases are covered! Such a special place highly recommend."

"Nelson is a wonderful community, and this property is ideally located -- close to downtown, grocery stores, and nearby hiking. Shared bike/ped paths were also nearby for quick access. The unit has a couple of bicycles, and we used these as our primary in-town transportation. The kitchen is well equipped with a good complement of appliances. The garden is a quiet haven with lots of flowers, herbs, and fruit trees. This place is a great find!"

"The house is very well equipped and is private. Awesome deck which looks out to bush and a reserve. The beds are very hard, which was the only down fall for us. If you like a hard bed then the house is perfect."

Lawns for cricket in the evenings; mud flats to explore at low tide; a wee beach or two to wander along; log fire for chilly autumn mornings and those long holiday evenings sitting round playing board games and cards together. "The place is remote and fabulous with a steep gravel driveway and set far above the road for noiseless nights of stargazing. It requires a little bit of off grid savvy but nothing even this 60 year old New Yorker couldn’t learn in seconds. The view is absolutely stunning, the house is quite comfortable.
