Doric Hotel

"The room we stayed in was a family room; unfortunately although it was exceptionally clean, it was very dated. The lobbies showed a desperate need of TLC. The fire doors had holes in which is a serious issue if a fire were to happen. It seems that half of the hotel was refurbished and our half was not. For three adults and two children, our room was very small and felt at points overcrowded. It would have been a more pleasant experience had we stayed in a more updated and larger room. The pictures advertised were very misleading for the money we paid out. A positive was the children's entertainment and my grandchildren throughly enjoyed the children's entertainer and the magic show."

"Nice location, helpful staff. Dvd and Chromecast were hopeless, the shower pressure was a little under whelming and there were no spa treatments when we went as they were off. (Wish we were told)"

"Room was filthy stains on bedding stains on side boards mould in shower Tv didn't work when first arrived was half fixed by staff but had to keep messing with it myself at night as no staff around Front of draw was hanging off staff came and fixed Room was freezing no heating what so ever in Room when asked staff about heating told me it was automatic never came on once in Room during weekend Was in a family room that had to walk through people eating in restaurant to get to No entertainment what so ever One member of staff doing reception and bar"

"This would have been a 5 star review had I not bought the breakfast. The staff were all courteous and professional. The rooms were clean and adequately sized for my 2 night stay. View rooms face the water, but also a busy road so some may find the noise unpleasant with the windows open. I opted for a standard room and it faced a quiet area. The breakfast was a typical assortment of hot dishes and cereals, and tasted fine. I must say, though, the coffee was possibly the worst I’ve ever had, and the apple and orange juices tasted like they were from a powder mix. Buy a decent coffee machine and upgrade your juice and I’d happily up my rating to 5 stars."

"This was our second visit to the Park House Hotel. First time around, there were a few small issues which without spoiling our stay, needed to be point out. Thankfully, those issues have been sorted and we had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The room was spacious, clean and fantastic value for money. Really enjoyed our stay."

"Stayed in Room 108 - which had a balcony overlooking the sea. Very spacious with a great bathroom and shower, and lots of quirky features. Brilliant Breakfast with lots of choice. Alcoholic drinks were reasonably priced for a Hotel. Had Dinner one night, which was excellent quality and again reasonably priced. All staff were very helpful and friendly."
