I treated my friend to an overnight stay at The Midland for her 60th birthday. We arrived to find a chocolate cake and a bottle of champagne in our room. What a lovely touch! We were thrilled with the whole experience.
comfy beds, spacious rooms, polite staff, very clean, secure hotel with room card to operate lifts. To improve, would be better trained at local attractions and directions! parking a bit difficult to source, worth printing off car parking map before you travel. Would stay here again.
Cheap and rough.

I have been staying at this hotel for the last few years and would not stay anywhere else at this stage. So comfortable. Once I walk in the door I always feel at home. The staff could not be friendlier and more helpful.
As for the room, I always get a great nights sleep. The bed is so comfy and there is never any noise in the corridors unlike other hotels. The food is delicious too. I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel!.
Hotel and staff were really lovely and friendly , restaurants and food was top class, except for breakfast which I thought was a bit pricey £ 22 for two people as it was only £9 for a three course evening meal , otherwise everything else was exceptional .
Went to a concert at the Bridgewater hall and this hotel is in a perfect location for this, being right opposite. Comfortable bed, very clean room and bathroomand pleasant staff. Breakfast was worth paying the £8 in advance for (it's £10 if you pay on the day)
