"This was a nice, mostly clean, well appointed, secluded property. Although most of the property was very clean and comfortable, one of the guest bedrooms had someone's dirty socks and some dead bugs in it so I assumed it had not been cleaned. Check-in was not as smooth as I'm used to at VRBOs. I received no check in instructions, so called the host 5 minutes before check in time and she seemed bit overwhelmed. My call was met with “can I call you back”. vs "hello". She did call right back and...

They had homemade baked muffins that were so delicious. We felt right at home. I would recommend to anyone wanting to escape the city but, to be conveniently located to the nearby towns. This is a hidden gem, and the owners are very sweet."

"This is our third time to stay at Vaden House on a 3-day Holiday weekend. Each time it has been a welcome retreat from from our home in Austin. Its quiet, rustic, and the river is about 40 yards from our front door. The river is why we come. There is a canoe available to take a trip up to the 'tubs' and its perfect to just float around on tubes all afternoon. Its a perfect get-a-way for two 65 year old adventurist's and their dog."
