My husband and I booked the Maner Cabin for a much needed getaway for just the two of us and it did not disappoint! It was exactly what we needed to escape and unplug. The cabin was quaint and cozy. We loved sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs, watching the wildlife as a breeze blew through. If you're looking for a spot to unplug from the world and reconnect with nature and/or your partner, this is absolutely the place to do it!
Everything about the trip was very easy, from checking in, to settling in, communicating with the owner, and checking out. Annette, the owner, was very sweet and checked in on us when we first arrived, and she also was quick to answer the phone and bring us a lighter for the grill when we ran out of matches. Overall, the property was amazing, the view is gorgeous, the cabin is remote and private, and the wild animals were really cool to watch in the evenings and mornings. Lastly, the cabin was very clean and had everything that we needed.
This cabin is perfect if you are looking to unplug and get away from the city. We enjoyed the wildlife, scenery, conversations on the porch, and lovely sunrises. Perfect anniversary get away ❤️
We loved the cabin. It had all necessary amenities. Annette and Stormy are wonderful, attentive hosts. The ranch is beautiful. This experience is the epitome of relaxation.
Cabin was great - nice, quiet & nobody around. Great views from the porch, owners were very nice. Went to see stars that far out but watched lightning instead both nights which was nice as well, also gave us a reason to go back again.
At night turn off the security lights and enjoy the stars. In the daytime sit on the porch and watch the deer. Did a day trip to Enchanted rock. If you're lucky you will get to meet Lucky (sweet dog).
We loved this warm, cozy cabin. It was rustic but comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The owner even provided muffins for us. We enjoyed watching the deer (there were many) and listening to the turkeys. The stars at night were amazing. It rained our second night and we loved listening to the rain on the roof. It was within an easy driving distance to Fredericksburg and surrounding towns. Highly recommend.
The cabin and property were beautiful! I'd never been to Fredericksburg before so it was an experience! I'm still not sure who Lindsey actually is because at no point during our stay did she ever respond to our message for assistance or information. FYI, CALL the property owner, not the host because apparently we were supposed to know that beforehand although the booking says "message host for details."

Nice cabin, horrible owner
Cabin was nice and enjoyed the solitude but the owner's manners leave much to improve. As we drove onto the property we followed the road as described in the email to us. After going through the gate as we approached the 1st of 2 equipment barns on the left an older gentleman was walking towards the road so we slowed down, rolled the window down and gave a cheerful "hello sir". He waved but gave no indication he wanted to talk so we continued to the cabin. We sat in the car a moment admiring the cabin and location when a lady road up on a quad. I got out of the car and cheerfully introduced myself. She immediately tore into me about driving onto the property and not stopping to speak to the owner. I told her i in fact did speak but the gentleman just waved at us and didnt motion or say he wanted to talk. I apologized and told her i didnt mean to be disrespectful but he gave no signs of wanting to talk. I told her I'm retired military and i know proper courtesy and respect so if my actions were interpretted that way i was sorry. She repeated the same thing about 4 more times and i said i will leave right now if my money is refunded. She said a few more things and hoped we still have a nice stay.
She never did introduce herself. Talk about manners.
That whole sceene put a big black cloud on the rest of the stay as the encounter dominated our conversations. It always went back to her. Made us question our actions but each time we were positive we showed proper respect so we have nothing to be sorry about. We had a great time in the area and did a lot, but this woman destroyed it overall. Needless to say we will never return.
I can’t not express enough how PERFECT our weekend was there! The cabin was perfect for two! The owners were so sweet and helpful. If you want a place to stay that’s secluded book this perfect cabin!
*BUT if you can’t climb stairs this is not the stay for you*
This ranch and cabin were the perfect combination. Twenty minutes from town and out in the middle of God's Country. The owner checks on you to make sure you have everything you need including the homemade muffins she left for us. The cabin has everything you need and think that you forgot. Great cozy place to spend quality time...
We had a wonderful stay and the cabin was perfect. We would sit on the porch and in the evenings we watched the deer (and the stars) and in the mornings we listened to the cows. There was a grill out side, with a picnic table, and a full kitchen. The kitchen was not quite big enough for two to cook in, but that was okay, somebody had to stay at the grill. It was about a 40 min drive to Enchanted Rock and about 25 minutes to Fredericksburg with lots of deer along the way. We had a great time and will definitely like to stay here again.
The cabin was just like we'd imagined - rustic, quaint, homey. The owners Anette and Stormy went out of their way to meet any need we had. The place was very peaceful and we left refreshed and renewed. We've been blessed beyond measure and plan on coming again.
Nice and isolated getaway spot. Visited Enchanted Rock and Fredericksburg. A little more "rustic" then expected (e.g. a few cobwebs and a little dust in corners, a couple bugs every once in a while) but that's no big deal. Very nice and quiet, very dark at night with great views of the stars. Property owners were kind.
