About this property
Amish cabin at Wolf Creek Guest Ranch
The Amish Cabin was originally a Corn Crib, built in the mid 1800's in Ohio, before being rebuilt into a very beautiful and unique Timber and hand hewn peg Cabin using the original timber, here on site, at the ranch. It is a favorite. This cabin has 2 separate spaces. Each side has it's own bathroom, bedroom, kitchenette, and sitting area. Kitchenettes are furnished with dishes, hot plate, microwave , small fridge and an auto drip coffee pot. This is a perfect cabin for a small family or 2 couples, with their own private side. Sit back in an old fashion rocking chair with your favorite beverage on your private back porch overlooking nature and wildlife. Great for bird watching with lots of deer and other wildlife passing through. This cabin is so private and quiet you will think you are really remote, while being very close to both Fredericksburg and Kerrville. This ranch has plenty of wildlife and birds to keep you looking outside for what you might see next. We have a Pony Petting Pasture for guests to interact with the ranch’s miniature horses, Moonshine and Smokey along with the petting goats, Goaty and Rosy. Enjoy your private outdoor patio with a propane grill for a bbq. We also have a swimming pool, that is shared with our other guests, a fire pit and walking trails to the catch and release fishing pond. Nights are beautiful here with a magnificent dark sky. The stars are stunning and seem so close that you could reach out and touch them.

Very quiet and lovely setting. The cabin was rustic without being kitschy, views off the back porch were pleasant, and the rooms were set up to allow for reasonable privacy on each side. I’d stay here again or recommend it to others.
What a quit cabin in the country. A get away that was needed for our family.. This cabin and the grounds are one of the greatest around in my family’s opinion, it was quit and allowed our family to have a great experience. If you have not stayed here you are missing out.
We had a great stay at the Amish cabin. It had everything we need and was very clean. Lovely property not too far from town. We would definitely stay there again.
The horses grazed nearby while the grandkids enjoyed the large pool, that was an unexpected pleasant surprise. They enjoyed the mini horses, goats and sheep inside the petting pen.
The cabin was great for family time and games at night.
As an old lady taking her 16 year old granddaughter and her friend as vacation this place was perfect. It’s midway between kerrville and fredersberg. We did some shopping at both places and enjoyed the country life too.thank you for hosting us.
This is an awesome paradise in the Texas Hill Country! So peaceful and relaxing! Get away from the stress and enjoy nature at it’s finest! Swimming, fishing & visiting local sites was our plan & this was the perfect location! Our 13 year old granddaughter loved it! She even had an incredible horseback riding lesson from the owner!
We had an amazing time!
Nice basic accommodations that worked well for us half way between Fredericksburg and Kerrville. Its a double sided facility that worked particularly well when another couple joined us for part of our stay. You can open it up to go back and forth or close it for privacy. King bed upstairs on the Sunset side and queen and a daybed all on lower level on Sunrise side.

Injury and no hot tub as stated
The door to the bathroom had a porcelain knob on it that broke in my hand and caused me a trip to the ER within less than 20 minutes of arrival. There is no hot tub as stated and the pool is actually on the property, however, it is at a different cabin which leads you to believe you do not have a. Ed’s unless you rent that specific cabin.
Over all stay was ok. We had some issues with understanding the property. Thought the pool was with our cabin and that there was a club house. That wasn’t the case. The Bathroom door handle was non existent and had to have assistance getting out. If you’re traveling with a child under 2 this cabin is not for you, stairs as well as balcony porch, the babies can fit thru and fall. Definitely dangerous. No instructions on what to do on closing or cleaning.
This property beat our expectations. The cabin was much larger than we anticipated, which was great for our family of 5. The owner was so friendly and welcoming. The property and location couldn't be more perfect. The kids had a blast petting the animals, swimming, taking long walks and feeding the fish in the pond. In addition, the views were breathtaking.
Only recommendation is that they put in a toaster to the kitchenette. Loved my stay there are hope to go back. Stormed while we were there and had a great view from the pretty porch.
This was a quite little place. Much needed for my husband and I. If you want to see deer like you have never seen before absolutely worth going. It rained and the creek flooded. The owners were so nice calling us to make sure we made it back to the cabin and offered us a ride if we could not get across the creek. We will definitely be back
