Independent, Hunter Valley Hotels

A fabulous and secluded cabin on 52 acres of peace and quiet. We were greeted by the owner Dominic who informed us of how all our amenities functioned. They take all the luxuries of home into consideration when thinking about what their guests would need or want. From the flavoursome coffee, local farm eggs and bacon, the bread maker for fresh morning bread and the jacuzzi that is just a jump from the front door on the expansive deck. A romantic weekend for two, a girls weekend away or even a large group vacation, Dominic and Jane have created a haven in the Hunter Valley that you do not want to miss. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we are already thinking about when we can return.

We stayed two nights at Patrick Plains Estate. Expedia had no reviews for this hotel. We were very please upon check-in with the friendly, welcoming staff. This is a small, quite, peaceful hotel. The room was large, clean and newly updated (the bathroom was a little small). Each room has a patio with a view of a small vineyard. Every night we received wine and appetizers in our room. Each morning they delivered breakfast to our room. The staff paid great attention to detail and were very helpful. They made dinner recommendations and reservations for us. Laundry facilities are available.

Very nice, personal small B&B type hotel, personal touch, beautifully renovated. The Carriages has its own small vineyard with high quality wine. We recommend dinner at the Roberts 1876 restaurant next door, best dinner we have had in a long time.

Very comfortable, well set out, spacious spa villa, grounds well maintained. Our room overlooked a golf course. Excellent staff.

We stayed in the summerhouse. It was delightful to wake up to the peace and quiet, with kangaroos grazing nearby on the property. The continental breakfast was well catered for, with a good variety to choose from.

Expect the unexpected. Kim welcomed us with open arms & immediately made us feel at home. Immaculate in every way, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & will certainly recommend you to family & friends. Looking forward staying with you again when we return to the area.

What a cute little cottage, filled with everything you need, including extras such as salt for your bbq. The owners are most welcoming, providing buckets for us to feed the animals. (and leaving more outside should the kids have run out) We had free rein to visit the animals and were even allowed to take home the eggs we collected from the chicken coop. It was terribly cold but that didn't stop us enjoying out stay immensly. We would love to visit again in the warmer months so we can use the wonderful bbq/pool/playground equipment. What a magical experience for my children.
