Excellent services, helpful staff and good facilities. It has a big lagoon pool, beautiful landscaping, reasonable kids club with variety of activities. It is beside the beach, has spacious room, overall, it is excellent for family with children. Note: The hotel has connecting rooms, the twin room has 2 double beds, this allows for family with children to stay together, and space to move in the room. However, do take note the hotel does not have a lift, for elderly or those with difficulty climbing staircase, do book the room on the ground floor.

A very relaxing 4 night stay at the very nice Hotel de la Paix. The rooms are very big and boast an amazing shower that comes from the ceiling in the middle of the bathroom! The hotel staff excelled in every way... with superb customer service. Breakfasts were delicious and varied day by day, the BBQ buffet was fantastic value and the food was very tasty. I would recommend this hotel for couples wanting an 'away from it all' break. I would not recommend it to those wanting a more lively holiday due to the location of the hotel. On the downside it took 30 minutes by shuttle bus to get into Hua Hin - which isn't the prettiest place I have ever been in Thailand. We also could not swim in the sea due to the jelly fish. That said, we were happy to laze on our sunbeds and use the hotel pools :)
very friendly and efficient staff, breakfast buffet is superb but best to book online with the room as it is more expensive if you book the breakfast on arrival, room is very nice but a bit on the smallish side, pool is excellent
Loved this hotel, the staff are truly amazing. Food excelent and reasonabley priced for a 5 star hotel., I would say the breakfast is best ever for quality. Room was amazing, so romantic, fresh and spacious the bed is so huge. I couldnt complain about the pool temperature it was refeshing after lazing in the sun. The location is perfect. Manager makes himself available if you require him, but generally blends into the background.I think he is doing a great job. Tried to rebook for January but it is already full.
I booked using the Dusit Club package, which provided great value for money in terms of meaningful "free" extras (breakfast, Club snack & pre dinner drinks etc. The hotel facilities are top class, both the accommodation (room size, facilities, cleanliness), grounds are A++++ in terms of the view, landscaping, amazing pool area, proximity to the beach. It was like paradise.
The staff were informal, thoroughly friendly and professional to the holidaying traveller. Nothing was too much trouble and that was from every staff member from supervisers to gardeners.
The location Hua Hin is 2 hours drive from Bangkok and is a place for couples, families, business get aways. The area has lots of resorts, so there's plenty of tourists visible but with a complete absence of the glitz of Bangkok or Phuket. It seems a strong European, Thai and Asian holiday destination.
Plenty of typical Thailand tourist tours to experience, including both historic and natural attractions.
If you want a wonderfully relaxing hiliday in the best possible surroundings, then look no further. If you want boozy nightlife and girlie bars, go to Bangkok or Phuket.
The hotel is in a fantastic location with many eating choices within a minute or two and a major modern shopping centre round the corner. About 20 minute walk to town. Good gym for size of hotel and massive comfy beds. Particularly liked the big day bed on the balcony. Good choice at breakfast but could do with more fruit and salad on display as the staff were always having to refill. Definitely need a new door as taking food to the outside seating area was a nightmare and staff very unhelpful. Good pool and the beach is just across the main road
